The products can provide excellent hair coloring and in-use efficacy benefits including excellent initial color and good wash fastness in combination with reduced hair damage at low pH.

摘要： A hair coloring composition present in a single package suitable for direct application to the hair wherein the hair coloring mixture comprises: a) an oxidising agent; and b) an oxidative hair coloring agent; and wherein the combined mixture of a) and b) has a pH in the range of from about 1 to about 5 and wherein the resultant color delivered to the hair (Delta E), after at least about 1 month of storage at room temperature, is up to about 75%, preferably up to about 85%, more preferably up to about 90% and most preferably up to about 95% of the total color delivered to the hair (Delta E) from a mixture of a) and b) on application. The products are storage stable, re-usable and can provide both excellent hair coloring and in-use efficacy benefits as well as improved color development potential after storage at room temperature.

摘要： The various embodiments provide a composition including an active material having functional groups capable of covalent attachment to a substrate in the presence of an acid or a base, a photocatalyst capable of generating an acid or a base upon exposure to light, and a vehicle. The compositions may also include surfactants, emulsifiers, oxidants, and other components. A method for treating a substrate is also disclosed. The method includes the steps of applying at least one active material having functional groups to the substrate, applying a photocatalyst to the substrate, and exposing the photocatalyst and the at least one active material to light for forming covalent attachments between the functional groups and constituent groups on the substrate. The compositions and methods described herein are useful in personal care product and consumer care product applications, for example.

摘要： The present invention encompasses a personal cleansing bar comprising from 10 parts to 70 parts by bar weight of a distilled, topped C.sub.12 -C.sub.18 acyl (topped cocoyl) isethionate (STCI). The bar of this invention contains little or no (0-2.8 parts) highly soluble acyl groups (sodium C.sub.6, C.sub.8, C.sub.10, C.sub.18:1 and C.sub.18:2 acyl isethionate). The bar of this invention is mild, smells better than a bar made with ordinary sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI), is more stable in terms of both odor and color, and is easier to make. A preferred STCI bar contains a higher level of moisture without processing negatives which higher level of moisture contributes to better lather. The sodium topped cocoyl isethionate (STCI) also allows for an increase in levels of liquids and hygroscopic materials, in the bar formulation without the usual processing negatives.
