The processor comprises at least one processing channel for containing a processing solution through which the photosensitive material passes for processing. The channel has a substantially constant thickness T. At least one slot nozzle is provided for directing processing solution against the photosensitive material passing through the processing channel. The channel is shaped such the nozzle is disposed a distance less than T from the opposing side wall of the channel such that the processing solution impinges against the photosensitive material.

摘要： A method and apparatus for processing a photosensitive material. The apparatus includes at least one processing section and a replenishment system for delivering replenishment solution contained within a container to the processing section. The replenishment system including a single device for withdrawing replenishment solution from the container and for monitoring the level of the replenishment solution contained in the container. The container is made of a material that is electrically non-conductive. A pair of spaced electrically conductive members are provided within the container. One of the members has a passageway for allowing flow processing solution therethrough and one has a terminal end which extends below the other member within the container. An AC current is applied to the pair of spaced members and the AC current is monitored with a level sensing circuit. When the replenishment solution falls below the end of the shorter member, a low level indicating signal is produced by the level sensing circuit.

摘要： A photographic processing apparatus including recirculation of processing solution is provided with a variable loop additive control system comprising a treatment container in which additive solids, pastes or fluids are introduced and through which a controlled volume of processing solution is circulated from and back to the recirculating system loop. The secondary loop of the additive system allows control of the flow of processing solution through the treatment container so that the mixing of the additive into the processing solution may be controlled at a desired rate and the additive is not excessively utilized or dissipated. Various arrangements for connecting a secondary additive loop to the primary loop of a recirculating processing solution system are illustrated.

摘要： Textured surfaces on respective walls of racks and tanks of photographic processing apparatus reduce the frictional forces between the photosensitive material leading edge surfaces and the walls of the racks and tanks. The processing solution flows through fissures in the textured surfaces, thereby providing a solution bearing layer between the photosensitive material and the textured surfaces. This allows a greater photosensitive material leading edge impact angle with the textured walls which allows the photosensitive material to change direction unimpeded.

Drying of the paper is accomplished by means of warm air which is propelled by a pump through a distribution duct network. The duct network includes a number of distribution tubes each of which has a tube body and a discharge chute for directing the air from the tube against the paper. Contoured upper and lower surfaces of the tube in combination with individual roller elements, which are spaced apart on a roller shaft, provide turbulence reducing return channels for routing the air, which has been deflected by the paper, back toward the pump.

The photographic processor is adapted to achieve a high speed processing of photographic material by utilizing the combination of a vacuum platen and a stacker arrangement that is adapted to hold the media for a time necessary to process and/or dry the media. The system permits media to be fed to a first vacuum platen where a first solution is applied. The platen transports the media to a first vertical stacker arrangement, which holds the media for a desired processing time for the first solution. The media can then be pushed through a stop solution, if needed, and onto a second vacuum platen where a second solution can be applied. The media is then delivered to second vertical stacker arrangement that is designed to assure the proper amount of processing time for the second solution.
