摘要： A transmitter system for a Ferraris motion transmitter, includes a magnetic measuring arrangement including at least one magnetic field generator for generating a magnetic field and an electrically conductive measuring body, with the magnetic field generator and the measuring body movable relative to one another in operation. Coupled to the magnetic measuring arrangement is a magnetic field sensor for providing an output signal commensurate with a velocity or acceleration of the measuring body. At least one of the magnetic field generator and the magnetic field sensor includes at least two magnetic members interlocking one another in concentric relationship to the measuring body for guiding the magnetic field as a result of eddy currents forming during operation.

The sensing head (15) is fixedly connected to a primary part (27) or is integrated therein while the primary part (27) and the secondary part form a linear motor (30). Furthermore, the secondary part is embodied as a rack (16) which is provided at least with ferromagnetic material and preferably equidistant teeth (18) in a preferred direction (13), said teeth (18) containing at least ferromagnetic material. The sensing head (15) can be moved in the preferred direction (13) and opposite thereto. An air gap is located between the sensing head (15) and the rack (16) while the sensing head (15) is equipped with at least one sensor (1-12, 19, 31), by means of which magnetic fields can be measured in order to determine a position.

A motion of the induction element induces in the induction element an eddy current with a temporal characteristic that depends both on the velocity and the acceleration. A sensor element measures the temporal characteristic of the eddy current and supplies the temporal characteristic to a signal processing circuit which determines at least one useful signal that is proportional to the velocity and acceleration, respectively.

A magnetic field generated by, for example, electromagnets or permanent magnets, penetrates at least a partial area of the moving body. Two or more measuring devices are arranged outside the magnetic field to measure a measurement magnetic field that is induced by electrical currents in the moving body. The measuring devices are arranged essentially symmetrically with respect to the magnetic field generating means or the moving body. The measurement magnetic field represents at least one motion variable of the moving body. The measuring device is thereby no longer subjected to the temperature-dependent variations of the exciting field.

As a result, an incorrectly determined position resulting from a failure of the electrical power supply for the transmitter can be identified.
