摘要： An audio jack including an insulative housing, conductive terminals and a shielding shell is provided. Stripped protrusions are disposed on the two side surfaces of the insulative housing. Trenches are disposed on the two side surfaces of the insulative housing. A notch is formed on each side surface of the shielding shell, and a depressed protrusion is disposed on each side surface of the shielding shell. At least two pins are disposed on each side surface, and between the pins a U-shaped hook is formed by bending inward. A back wing is coplanar with the top surface of the shielding shell and is bent along the top surface to form a back cover. A pair of opposite side ears perpendicular to the back wing joint the depressed protrusions.

The insulative housing has a rectangular portion and a mating portion, the mating portion has an insertion hole, on the left, right and top of the circular surface of the mating portion each has a notch which communicates with the insertion hole respectively; the rectangular portion has a plurality of grooves and slide slots for disposing the terminals, in the interior of the insulative housing having a first, a second and a third chamber which is communicated with the insertion hole respectively, the first chamber and the third chamber are separated by a partition board which has a tapered opening; the LED is disposed firmly within the third chamber. When the optical fiber plug is plugged in, the forehead of the optical fiber plug contacts with the LED through the tapered opening of the partition board to achieve signal connection, and when the audio plug is plugged in, it achieves signal connection through terminal conduction.

The housing includes a body, a mating head and an insertion hole, wherein the body has a rear wall, two opposite sidewalls, a top wall and a bottom wall. A plurality of terminal slots and notches is only defined through the bottom wall, keeping other walls of the housing from forming any opening against the entry of the moisture and dust. The mating head is mounted on the body opposite to the rear wall. The insertion hole is defined through the mating head, extends into the body and communicates each terminal slot. Each notch is parallel to one another and communicates a corresponding terminal slot. Each conductive terminal has a base portion, a mounting portion, a connection portion, a contacting portion and a resilient portion.
