摘要： Disclosed herein is an assembly for use in a wellbore which includes a base pipe; a filter medium surrounding at least a portion of the external surface of the base pipe; and an internally profiled sleeve surrounding at least a portion of the filter media. Also included is a method for attaching a hardware accessory to a sand screen assembly which includes providing a base pipe having an inner surface and an outer surface; surrounding the outer surface of the base pipe with a filter medium; engaging the sleeve with the filter medium; and connecting the hardware accessory to the sleeve. Also included is a downhole apparatus which includes a basepipe, where at least a portion of the external surface of the basepipe is profiled; and a sleeve mounted external to the basepipe, where the internal profile of the sleeve corresponds to the external profile of the basepipe.

When the leak-off tube is in a fully retracted position, the leak-off tube is securely releasably engaged with upper sand management portion and when the leak-off tube is in a fully extended position, it is securely releasably engaged with the lower sand management portion.Also disclosed herein is a method for dehydrating a slurry in an area between an upper sand management portion and a lower sand management portion. The method includes installing a leak-off tube between the upper sand management portion and the lower sand management portion and securely releasably connecting the leak-off tube to the lower sand management portion.

摘要： An inflow control assembly. The inflow control assembly can include an inner tubular member comprising a hole formed therethrough. A cover assembly can encircle the hole. The cover assembly can include a first outer member disposed about at least a portion of the inner tubular member. The first outer member can be secured to the inner tubular member. A second outer member can be disposed about at least a portion of the inner tubular member, and the second outer member can be secured to the inner tubular member. A screen portion can be disposed between the outer members and between the inner tubular member and the outer members. An annulus can be formed between the outer members and the inner tubular member, and the annulus can provide a flow path between the hole and the screen portion.

A flexible member (e.g., a wire) is wrapped around the ribs. Various other mechanisms may be used instead of the ribs and flexible member in the annular space. In this regard, such annular standoffs such as a corrugated material, a member that has longitudinal channels, and a member formed from a first set of wires that is interwoven with a second set of wires may be used. Alternatively, longitudinal channels may be formed in the outer surface of the base pipe.

The system may include a shunt tube and a diverter. The shunt tube is adapted to communicate a slurry flow within the well to form a gravel pack. The diverter is located in a passageway of the shunt tube to divert at least part of the flow. A slurry may be communicated through the shunt flow path, and a control device may be operated to isolate the slurry from being communicated to the ancillary flow path.
