    • The present disclosure relates to a multi-dimensional histogram method using a minimal data-skew cover in a space-partitioning tree, which is used to estimate the selectivity of queries, that is, the sizes of query results, and a recording medium storing a program for executing the multi-dimensional histogram method. In the multi-dimensional histogram method, a Database (DB) system receives information required to generate a histogram from an outside of the DB system, and then constructs a space-partitioning tree based on the information required to generate a histogram. The DB system constructs a multi-dimensional histogram based on a minimal data-skew cover in the space-partitioning tree. When the DB system receives a query from the outside, the DB system calculates the estimate of the selectivity for the query by using the multi-dimensional histogram. Further, the present disclosure includes a recording medium storing a program for executing the multi-dimensional histogram method.

    • The present invention relates to a method for controlling a defrost heater of a refrigerator. The method for controlling a defrost heater of a refrigerator, comprising the steps of; accumulating the run time of a compressor and checking whether accumulated time has reached a predetermined time for defrosting; performing a defrost operation, if the predetermined time for defrosting is a first defrosting point of time; checking the current state of the defrost heater if the predetermined time for defrosting is not a first defrosting point of time; turning on the defrost heater to perform the on/off control of the defrost heater, if the defrost heater is turned on/off and thereafter the on/off time reaches a predetermined time; and turning off the defrost heater to finish the defrost operation, if the temperature of cooler has reached a defrost-off temperature during the on/off control of the defrost heater.

    • An improved method and an apparatus for driving a pump motor for a refrigerator dispenser which are capable of feeding-back a water remaining in a discharge hose to a water container of the refrigerator by reversely rotating a pump motor after discharging the water from the water container, for thus preventing the water and the discharge hose from being polluted. The method includes the step of a first step for discharging a water from a water container through a discharge hose by driving a pump motor when a lever switch is turned on, a second step for stopping the operation of the pump motor when the lever switch is turned off and finishing the water discharge, and a third step for feeding back the water remaining in the discharge hose to a water container of the refrigerator after a predetermined time after the second step by reversely rotating the pump motor with respect to the rotation direction of the pump motor in the first step.

According to the present invention, there is no need to alternately load the substrate to the vacuum-deposition apparatus and the laser-scribing apparatus, whereby the apparatus structure is simple and the manufacturing time is decreased, thereby resulting in the improved yield.
