摘要： When data is to be sent from a communication apparatus connected to a local area network (LAN) to a destination communication apparatus via a communication line, communication parameters related to the destination communication apparatus are inquired to a predetermined terminal apparatus upon reception of a transmission request from a terminal apparatus connected to the LAN. Communication control of the data is performed in accordance with the transmission request based on the communication parameters obtained by the inquiry. Also transmission control of the data is performed in accordance with a communication mode decided based upon the result of an interpretation of reception capability of the destination communication apparatus.

摘要： When an operator sets an original on a reading unit of an image reading apparatus, and requests to read the original and assigns a communication partner on a LAN (local area network) through an operation unit, this information is transmitted to an information processing terminal connected via an interface. The information processing terminal determines if information which coincides with identification information of the assigned communication partner is present. If the result of the determination is affirmative, the information processing terminal instructs the image reading apparatus to start a reading operation. If the result of the determination is negative, the information processing terminal prohibits a reading operation. When a reading operation has been prohibited, the image reading apparatus displays the fact on the operation unit.

摘要： In a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device, after a contact holes are formed to pass through an insulator film, a titanium film and a titanium nitride film are deposited on the whole surface including an inner surface of the contact holes. Thereafter, a contact ion implantation is performed to selectively implant impurity ions to the bottom of the contact hole by using a patterned photoresist as a mask, so that an impurity-implanted region is formed at a substrate surface at a bottom of the contact hole.
