    • In an exemplary embodiment, a radiation detector for reception of the radiation emerging from the radiography subject delivers electric output signals corresponding to the received radiation profile, a scanner device rotates the radiographic unit about an axis which passes through the focus of the x-ray tube and approximately through the detector center, and a measured value processing and display unit determines and reproduces the x-ray shadow image corresponding to the scanning movement of the radiographic unit (1, 4). The processing and display unit is designed in the manner of a radar display apparatus in which a number of concentric image point circles are recorded, each of which, (for the case of a radiation detector consisting of a series of individual detectors), is locally associated with a specific individual detector and is modulated in its intensity corresponding to the output signals of the associated individual detector.

    • The exemplary embodiments produce successive x-ray beams with different wavelengths and may comprise a rotating anode whose anode body has x-ray generating parts of different materials. Heretofore, the x-rays arising at the parts have been conducted through filters outside the tube which, synchronously moved, are allocated to the parts of the rotating anode. Since, however, the allocation of the filters to the parts of the anode is difficult in such a subsequent synchronization, according to the disclosure a fixed allocation ensues in that the filters are incorporated into the tube and are integrated in the rotation of the anode. To that end, they are designed as walls lying at right angles in the discharge path of the x-rays and are rigidly connected to the shaft of the anode arrangement. Such x-ray tubes are particularly suitable as a radiation source for employment in medical x-ray diagnostics.

    • An x-ray diagnostics installation for subtraction angiography has an image memory connected to an output of an x-ray image intensifier video chain which has a number of addresses for storing individual x-ray video signals obtained during a dynamic body cycle of a patient under observation. A differencing unit receives stored signals from the image memory as well as current video signals and substracts those signals to form a superimposed image. Entry and readout of signals to and from the image memory is under the command of a control unit which is connected to the patient through, for example, an EKG circuit for identifying selected occurrences in the body cycle under observation. Entry and readout of data from the image memory is thereby controlled in synchronization with the selected occurrences in the cycle.
