    • A film antenna whose antenna characteristics are unaffected by chassis is provided. A recessed groove portion 26 is formed in a ground portion 13 which is attached to a chassis 18. A first radiating element portion 14 is formed from a wall 26a on one side of the groove portion 26 to a wall 26b on the other side. A capacitive coupling piece portion 27 which is capacitively coupled via a specified gap g to the first radiating element portion 14 is formed on the wall 26b on the other side to thereby allow antenna characteristics to be unaffected by the chassis 18.

    • An information recording/reproducing apparatus includes an optical device, a photo-detector and a calculation unit. The optical device irradiates light beams, including one main beam and at least two sub-beams with respect to an information recording medium. The photo-detector receives return lights of the main beam and sub-beams to output light detection signals. The calculation unit produces a tracking error signal and a position information signal based on the light detection signals. The optical device irradiates the at least two sub-beams onto positions shifted to opposite sides of a center of the guide track, respectively, when the main beam is being irradiated onto a center of the information recording track. Thus, the apparatus produces the tracking error signal and the position information signal by utilizing a common optical system and a common signal processing system and thereby executes tracking servo control and random access processing with high accuracy.

    • An accelerator sensor comprises a cylinder of a conductive material, a magnetized inertial member mounted in the cylinder so as to be movable longitudinally of the cylinder, a conductive member mounted at least on one end surface of the inertial member that is on the side of one longitudinal end of the cylinder, a pair of electrodes disposed at this one longitudinal end of the cylinder, and an attracting member disposed near the other longitudinal end of the cylinder. When the conductive member of the inertial member comes into contact with the electrodes, these electrodes are caused to conduct via the conductive member. The attracting member is made of a magnetic material such that the attracting member and the inertial member are magnetically attracted toward each other. The cylinder has a thick wall portion at the end of the cylinder where the electrodes are located. Chattering of the electrodes is prevented by a strong magnetic force of the thick wall portion which reduces the impact speed of the inertial member prior to engagement of the conductive member and the electrodes.
