摘要： The present invention aims to provide a disposable diaper improved so that, when the diaper is put on a wearer's body, an area of the wearer's skin defined between his or her external genital and anus can reliably protected from being soiled with body waste. The disposable diaper is provided on the inner surface of a liquid-pervious inner sheet 32 with a separator sheet 33b formed with a front opening 38 and a rear opening 39. The separator sheet 33 has end regions 34, 36 opposite in a front-back direction A both bonded to the inner sheet 32 and a middle region 35 left free from the inner sheet 32. The separator sheet 33b further includes elastic members 37L, 38R extending under tension in the front-back direction A along inner edges of the front and rear openings 38, 39. The separator sheet 33b is bonded along lateral zones 48L, 48R thereof to the inner sheet 32. Between the respective lateral zones 48L, 48R and a center line P-P, the separator sheet 33b is provided with means assisting the middle region 35 to get near to the diaper wearer's skin.

A liner defining an innermost layer of the chassis is bonded to the absorbent panel in a fixed zone defined in a crotch region. A passage is formed through the liner at a position put aside from the fixed zone toward a rear waist region to guide feces through this passage. A first elastic member extends along a peripheral edge of the passage so as to be stretchable and contractible. A second elastic member and a third elastic member are paired and laid outside opposite side edges of the passage so as to be stretchable and contractible in a longitudinal direction in a vicinity of the passage.

The crotch region is provided on the side of its inner surface with a pair of contracting members extending in a longitudinal direction and spaced from each other. Front portions of the respective contracting members are fixed to the inner surface of the diaper in positions anterior to a line bisecting a longitudinal dimension of the intermediate section, while rear portions of the respective contracting members are fixed to the inner surface of the diaper in positions posterior to the intermediate section, so that intermediate portions of the respective contracting members may be spaced from the inner surface of the diaper and elastically contractible in the longitudinal direction.
