    • For obtaining a compact superconductive power switch for rapid switching speeds and with high dielectric strength, several winding layers (10a . . . 10h) with several windings each are lined up adjacent each other in axial direction. Between individual layers (10a . . . 10h), there are provided cooling/heating elements (8a to 8d) in order to transfer the high-current switch unit (1) to the superconducting state and the normally conducting state, respectively, by cooling/heating, i.e. for closing and opening said unit, respectively. Mutually adjacent current conductors have the switching current flowing therethrough in opposite directions, so that the high-current switch unit (1) is of low induction, which permits fast switching times in particular when the switch is opened by an additional current pulse. Due to the numerous windings of the current conductor sections in each layer and the plurality of layers in axial directions, only a low voltage differential results between the adjacent current conductors, and an assembly with high dielectric strength is obtained in total.

    • An asynchronous motor for a drive mechanism, in particular a hoist or a running gear includes a motor housing with opposite end faces covered by respective end shields, and an annular short-circuit winding disposed on a motor shaft. An asynchronous motor of this type is compact and inexpensive to manufacture and can be reliably controlled even in the presence of a rear-mounted magnetic brake, by accommodating in the motor housing at least two sensor units which are arranged sequentially in the direction of rotation of the motor at the rear of the motor housing, with each sensor unit including an opto-electronic receiver and a confronting electro-optic transmitter. Secured in the motor housing on the motor shaft between the short-circuit winding and the rear end shield is a circular rotary disk which includes modulation elements for interaction with the sensor units, by modulating the intensity of optical output signals produced by the electro-optic transmitter when the modulation elements pass by the respective sensor unit. The associated receiver transforms the modulated intensity of the optical output signals for formation of at least one electric motor control signal.

    • A wear-resistant link for tire chains, including a link body having at least one link opening between a running surface and a tire engaging surface for engagement with at least one connecting link. The surfaces defining the link opening merge with an outside area of the link body for forming an insert opening on this outside area. The wear resistant link is furthermore provided with at least one lock for the insert opening which lock includes at least one bolt or the like in engagement with the link body. The insert opening is located between the running surface and the tire engaging surface of the link body, and the lock is provided with at least one engaging surface. The arrangement is such that the respective link opening or openings in closed condition is or are defined by at least one engaging surface for engagement with the pertaining connecting link when the respective tire chain equipped with the wear resistant link is in operation.
