The method includes, if an MCBCS initialization request message is received from an MCBCS server, sending a burst reservation request message for MCBCS burst allocation to one or more Base Stations (BSs) in a corresponding Multicast and Broadcast Service (MBS) zone, and if a burst reservation response message is received from at least one of the one or more BSs, sending a Resource Reservation (RR) request message for each channel to the at least one of the one or more BSs for establishing data channels for each channel broadcast by the MCBCS server. Accordingly, a channel transition delay time resulting from a user's channel change can be reduced.

The method includes receiving a message comprising information relating to a broadcast channel which carries a service guide, from a Base Station (BS), receiving service guides relating to one or more service providers over the broadcast channel using the information, when the received service guides are fragmented service guides having a certain size, generating a unified service guide by reassembling the fragmented service guides and when one service provider is selected, filtering only a service guide of the selected service provider in the unified service guide and displaying the filtered service guide in a display. Thus, the channel transition time can be reduced.

摘要： A method and apparatus generate a group service flow in a mobile communication system. An Advanced Mobile Station (AMS) in a mobile communication system transmits an AAI_REG-REQ message, which includes a group service request indicator indicating that it is required to generate the group service flow, to an ABS. The AMS receives an AAI REG-RSP message and an AAI_DSA-REQ message, which includes at least one of a group service flow parameter for the group service flow, a multicasting Station Identifier (STID), a multicasting flow ID, a group service flow ID, and information indicating a use of the group service flow, from the ABS. The AMS then generates the group service flow in cooperation with the ABS in accordance with the AAI_DSA-REQ message.
