    • A pole mounting system includes a pole having at least one channel, and a spike having a finger configured to be received in the channel of the pole. The finger is attached to a neck that is configured to extend out of the channel and connect to a connector. The connector may be configured in a number of different ways depending on the particular type of device to be suspended on the pole. For example, the connector may be configured to connect to different types of arms that may be used to hold a flat panel display, or may be configured to hold other things such as a table. The finger is elongate and configured to engage the interior of the channel when the weight of the flat panel display is placed on the spike. Optionally, a spring-loaded pin may be provided to temporarily hold the spike in place while the spike is screwed into place in the channel through the use of set screws. Wire management may be provided within the channel.

    • A knife for cutting food products having a proximal end, a distal end and a length defined therebetween. The knife includes a blade portion having a cutting edge and a spine disposed on a top side of the blade portion and generally opposed to the cutting edge. The knife includes a handle portion disposed proximal of the blade portion with a top surface and a bottom surface, a first end proximal to the blade portion and a second end distal to the blade portion. The handle portion includes a bolster section with at least a first thickness, a first lateral sidewall and a second lateral sidewall. The bolster section is disposed at the first end of the handle portion and adjacent to the blade portion. The first sidewall of the bolster section includes an arcuate proximal bolster boundary defined by a curvilinear ridge extending downwardly toward the blade portion from a point proximate the top surface of the handle portion. The first sidewall of the bolster section also includes an arcuate distal bolster boundary being defined by a curvilinear ridge extending downwardly toward the blade portion from a point proximate the bottom surface of the handle portion. A portion of the curvilinear ridge defining the arcuate proximal bolster boundary is spaced a distance along the length of the knife from a portion of the curvilinear ridge defining the arcuate distal boundary. A surface depression is formed in at least one of the first lateral sidewall and the second lateral sidewall, the surface depression being disposed between the curvilinear ridge defining the arcuate proximal bolster boundary.

    • A navigation system includes a portable receiver unit that can be carried about by hand and used by an individual to determine position information through a global positioning system. The portable receiver is supported within a housing that is selectively received by and removable from a docking station that is permanently mounted within a vehicle. The housing supports a first display that provides an indication of position information to an individual utilizing the portable receiver unit. A second display is provided within the vehicle to provide an indication of vehicle position information whenever the housing is received within the docking station in the vehicle. An electronic controller associated with the vehicle preferably controls the activation states of the first and second displays when the receiver housing is received within the docking station.
