    • The present invention relates to a method and network device for processing a routing information in a packet data network. The routing information is extracted from a received message at a border between a first network and a second network, and at least one invalid entry is added to first-network entries of the routing information. The first-network entries relate to a routing path of the message within the first network. The at least one invalid entry and the first-network entries are encrypted by using an own token at least for each of the first-network entries. As an alternative, a tokenized second-network entry extracted from said routing information and relating to the routing path of the message within the second network is decrypted, and its content is reversed. In both cases, the routing information is replaced by the processed routing information and the message is forwarded to the second network. This allows to preserve the order of routing entries and to hide the amount of switches that have been traversed in the home network.

    • The invention relates to a method and system for providing interworking between a first and a second network of different types, preferably an IMS and a CS (Circuit-Switched) network. A call received by the first network and directed to a terminal unregistered from the first network, is forwarded to the second network, whereas when the call is received by the second network and is directed to a terminal unregistered from the second network, the call is not forwarded to the first network. The same identifier, preferably the same E.164 number, is used in both networks for identifying the called terminal. Preferably, the first network is informed on the registration of the terminal to the second network, the first network using this information as basis for the decision whether or not to route a call to the second network.

    • A solution for establishing a session of a real-time media communication service in a communication system comprising at least two separately administered subsystems. The session establishment comprises receiving a request for session initiation, querying subscriber information related to the requested session, and initiating the session according to the queried subscriber information. The invented method comprises detecting that the terminating subscriber does not belong to the same subsystem as the originating subscriber, determining a defined transit server associated with the terminating subscriber, said transit server having access to a subscriber database of the subsystem of the terminating subscriber, and querying subscriber information related to the requested session with a first control message comprising parameters of the requested session to the transit server. The solution allows a connection to be established between users of a real-time media communication service for subscribers of separate administrative subsystems so that operators of each subsystem may possess full control of their own network elements, and the internal connection establishment procedures need minimal alterations for the functionality.
