摘要： A unit pixel of a liquid crystal display panel includes a plurality of domains formed using a photoalignment process technology. The domains have different domain alignment vectors, and major axes of liquid crystal molecules on alignment layers are aligned in parallel to transmission axes of the liquid crystal display panel. In addition, the unit pixel has a pixel electrode including slits. The slits have a slit angle at which the slits cross alignments of the domains at a predetermined angle, and the slit angle is less than 45°. As a result, transmittance of the unit pixel may increase, ensuring high image quality.

摘要： A backlight assembly includes a light supplying part and a light guide plate. The light supplying part includes a white light source and a monochromatic light source that generates a monochromatic light. The white light source generates a white light responsive to an electric power provided from exterior to the backlight assembly. The light guide plate is disposed adjacent to a side of the light supplying part. The light guide plate includes a light guiding region where the white light and the monochromatic light are guided into and a peripheral region that surrounds the light guiding region. Therefore, color reproducibility of an LCD apparatus is increased so that an image display quality of the LCD apparatus is improved.

摘要： Disclosed are a liquid crystal display device and a method for assembling the liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal display device has a display section for displaying images, a receiving container for receiving the display section, a power supplying section for supplying a power source to the display section, a signal converting section for converting signals from the display section and a fixing section for fixing the power supplying section and the signal converting section to the receiving container. The power supplying section and the signal converting section are disposed between the display section and the fixing section with directly facing to a rear surface of the receiving container. Accordingly, a total thickness and weight of the liquid crystal display device can be minimized and an assembly facility of the liquid crystal display device can be improved.
