    • A fuel pump control device is for a fuel supply system for an engine. The system includes a fuel tank, a subtank, a fuel pump pumping fuel in the subtank for supply to the engine, a pressure regulator regulating fuel pressure from the fuel pump within a set pressure, and a jet pump pumping fuel in the fuel tank into the subtank through pumping action by a fuel ejection flow to the fuel tank through a return pipe of the regulator. The device includes a fuel level detecting unit for detecting fuel tank level and a control unit for controlling fuel discharge amount from the fuel pump. The control unit sets jet pump drive correction amount of fuel for driving the jet pump based on the fuel tank level. The control unit increases the fuel discharge amount from the fuel pump by the correction amount to drive the jet pump.

    • An apparatus for detecting an abnormality of a fuel transpiration prevention system which includes a canister with an absorbing device and a control valve provided in a passage between a fuel tank and an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine so that a fuel gas generated within the fuel tank is absorbed by the absorbing device of the canister and introduced into the intake pipe by opening and closing the control valve in accordance with an operating state of said internal combustion engine. The apparatus includes a pressure detecting device for detecting a pressure within the fuel tank and a deviation calculating unit responsive to the output of the pressure detecting device for calculating a deviation between the pressure detected when the control valve opens the passage and the pressure detected when the control valve closes the passage. The apparatus decides an abnormality of the fuel gas supply system on the basis of the deviation calculated by the deviation calculating unit. This arrangement allows accurate abnormality detection throughout the fuel transpiration prevention system.

    • Five color television cameras take pictures of an object. A video signal from the central camera is transmitted by circuitry substantially the same as the circuitry used in existing color television system. The video signal is subtracted from four video signals from the other cameras, two located on the left side of the central camera and the remaining two on the right side thereof, thus generating four video difference signals. A carrier wave is used of frequency 1/n (n is an integer) of the color sub-carrier frequency, and placed within the lower sideband of the reference frequency of an assigned channel. The spectrum distribution of the wave remains in interleaving relation with the spectrum distribution of a luminance signal from the central camera. The carrier wave is divided into two-phase carrier waves. Each of these carrier waves is divided into a positive halfwave and a negative halfwave. The resultant four halfwaves are amplitude-modulated by the four video difference signals, and the amplitude-modulated halfwaves are superposed one upon another, thus providing a composite wave. The composite wave is band-limited so that it does not exceed the bandwidth of the channel assigned and then transmitted. At the receiving side, five video signals are reproduced. Three electron beams corresponding to the three primary colors, are in synchronism with the five video signals, thereby to reproduce five pictures in stereoscopic relation on the focal plane of a lenticular lens screen.

    • A fuel feed apparatus including a sub-tank is received in a fuel tank having multiple tank sections. Multiple jet pumps respectively transfers fuel received in the tank sections into the sub-tank. Therefore, even if a fuel amount received in a single tank section decreases, fuel can be steadily supplied from another tank section. Intermediately pressurized fuel in a fuel pump is supplied to the jet pumps, so that fuel can be steadily supplied to the jet pumps regardless of fuel consumption amount in an engine. Fuel is drawn from an upstream side of a pressure regulator, and supplied to the jet pump. The pressure regulator has an urging unit, and controls fuel pressure without using a diaphragm. Therefore, the pressure regulator is simplified and downsized.
