    • The present invention is directed to creating sound reverberation. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, an apparatus estimates an impulse response for use in reproduction of a sound in a desired acoustic space. In particular, the apparatus collects space information concerning an acoustic space and point information indicating positions of a sound generation and reception points in the acoustic space, estimates a set of acoustic ray paths of the sound traveling from the sound generation point to the sound reception point, acquires directivity information indicating an acoustic directivity of the sound generation point and the sound reception point, estimates an acoustic intensity of each acoustic ray path and weights each acoustic intensity by the acquired directivity information, and determines the impulse response based on directions of the respective acoustic ray paths toward the sound reception point and the weighed acoustic intensities of the respective acoustic ray paths.

    • In a sound image creating apparatus, a distance computation section computes intermediate positions of a moving point along a trajectory line from a movement start position to a movement end position, and further computes a variable distance between each of the intermediate positions of the moving point and a fixed point. A velocity computation section computes a variable velocity of the moving point relative to the fixed point along the time axis on the basis of the variable distance. A signal processing section attenuates or delays an input sound signal in accordance with the variable distance, and varies a pitch of the input sound signal on the basis of the variable velocity, thereby creating the sound image of the input sound signal along the time axis based on principle of Doppler effect.

    • One exemplary aspect comprises a computer system comprising: (a) a preprocessing unit that extracts text from a webpage to produce at least a first set of candidate keywords, applies language processing to produce at least a second set of candidate keywords, and combines said first and second sets of candidate keywords into a first candidate pool; (b) a candidate extraction unit that receives data from said preprocessing unit describing at least said first candidate pool and produces a second candidate pool; (c) a feature extraction unit that receives data describing at least said second candidate pool and analyzes said second candidate pool for general features and linguistic features; and (d) a classification unit that receives said data describing at least said second candidate pool and related data from said feature extraction unit, and determines a likelihood of each candidate in said second candidate pool being a primary or secondary keyword.
