    • An adapter card is provided which comprises: a clock signal converting circuit (1) which converts a clock signal, output from a signal generator contained in a burn-in apparatus, into a higher-frequency clock signal; and a plurality of delay circuits (2) for causing each burn-in signal output from the signal generator to synchronize with the clock signal, wherein a connector (4) of the adapter (10) is connected between a burn-in card and a connector mounted in a burn-in chamber, to burn in a semiconductor device mounted on the burn-in card. Alternatively, the input connector (4) of the adapter card (10) is connected to a connector mounted, for example, on the rear side of a back board of the burn-in apparatus; then, the output of the signal generator is fed into the adapter card via its connector (4), and the output of the adapter card (10) is supplied to the semiconductor device mounted on the burn-in card to burn in the semiconductor device.

    • A structural member having a closed section, and an apparatus and a method for producing the same are provided to decrease production costs and secure the dimensional accuracy by a simple construction. The apparatus produces a structural member provided with a channel-shaped sectional portion and closed sectional portions adjacent thereto by bending a work and includes a press mold formed of a punch and a die oppositely installed and used for press-forming so that both side edges of the work are caused to overlap on the bottom wall of the channel-shaped sectional portion, and a fall-down prevention means which prevents both side edges opposed to each other of the work to be press-formed in the press mold from falling down and guides both side edges so that the end faces thereof are brought into contact with each other. Since the die applies a compression force to the work due to the end faces of the work brought into contact with the fall-down prevention means being pressed to each other, a curved portion having a residual compression stress between the longitudinal outer side wall and the vertical outer side wall is formed.

    • A document hold-down device in a copying apparatus includes a rectangular relatively stiff plate and a relatively stiff anchoring bar spaced from and parallel to the plate rear edge, the bar and plate being sandwiched between flexible synthetic resin sheets which envelope the bar and plate and are bonded to each other along their coinciding borders and preferrably along a hinge defining line intermediate the proximate edges of the sheet and bar. Fastening members releasably anchor the bar to the apparatus proximate the document support plate. Advantageously, to accommodate thick documents, a second bar is disposed between the anchoring bar and plate and enveloped between the flexible sheets which are bonded to each other along hinge lines along opposite sides of the second bar. A resilient sponge sheet may underlie the plate to accommodate uneven documents. A handle is provided at the plate outer edge and a device is provided for alternatively swinging the hold-down device toward open and closed positions or to retain it in an intermediate position.
