    • A rotary coupling for two different fluids. The coupling includes a fixed housing and hollow shaft mounted rotatably but axially immovably in the housing. The shaft is provided with a central through-flow channel for a first fluid and at least one second through-flow channel parallel thereto for a second fluid. In the housing there are provided two separate supply channels for the two fluids and two sliding ring sealing devices between these channels and the hollow shaft, arranged coaxially with an axis of rotation of the hollow shaft, through which sealing devices the fluids can be fed separately to the through-flow channels. The first sliding ring sealing device is arranged centrally between an inner end of the hollow shaft and a housing part with the first supply channel, while the second sliding ring sealing device surrounds the hollow shaft concentrically and includes a sliding ring rotatable with the hollow shaft and has at least one radial through passage, as well as two sliding rings bearing constantly under spring pressure on its two axially facing end faces. The second sliding ring sealing device is axially movable relative to the housing and the hollow shaft. The rotatable sliding ring is fixed to an inner bush coaxially surrounding the hollow shaft, which inner bush is adapted to be coupled and uncoupled from the hollow shaft in response to an axial sliding movement of the inner bush.

    • A clamping device for gripping a tool in a carrier. The clamping device has a hollow centering extension or spigot and an abutment surface surrounding it are provided on the tool. A tool receptacle provided in the carrier has a receiving bore matched to the centering extension and an end face surrounding the bore and against which the abutment surface can be pressed by a clamping arrangement. The clamping arrangement comprises a clamping sleeve movable coaxially with respect to the central axis and a clamping ring or collet movable in the opposite direction to the clamping sleeve, both of which are provided with clamping cones facing towards one another. The collet is movable axially on the clamping sleeve by means of a clamping nut screwable on the sleeve. A plurality of clamping jaws surround the clamping sleeve and the collet concentrically and are supported in each case by one end against their clamping cones. The clamping jaws have at their two ends clamping surfaces which cooperate with a conical surface of the tool receptacle and with a conical surface oppositely directed with respect to that conical surface in the centering extension.

    • The rotating union for two different fluids comprises a hollow shaft (2) mounted rotatably in a stationary housing (1), with two separate axial throughflow channels (4, 5). A slide ring packing assembly is provided between the hollow shaft (2) and two separate inlet channels (9, 17) provided in the housing (1) for the two fluids. This includes a common slide ring (8) which is connected at its face to the hollow shaft (2) and comprises a central bore (8a) and several axial passages (8b) arranged concentrically thereto, and in the housing (1) a central slide ring (11) and a slide ring (14) concentrically surrounding the latter. The concentric slide ring (14) comprises several axial passages (14a) which are arranged in a circle concentric to the axis of rotation (A) and connected to the inlet channel (17) for the second fluid. Between the outer circumference of the central slide ring (11) and the inner circumference of the concentric slide ring (14) is provided an annular chamber (18) extending as far as the sliding surface (8c) of the common slide ring (8) and communicating with an inlet channel (23) provided in the housing and an outlet channel (24).
