    • A one piece mailer for use in laser printers or xerographic copying machines includes a standard size sheet which may be employed in laser printers or xerographic machines without special handling equipment and involves printing on one side only of the mailer. In addition, stable adhesive material is employed for sealing the one piece mailer which will not run or contaminate the office machines, when it is subject to several hundred degrees heat. This adhesive is preferably a water-activated adhesive other than natural gum (which is heat-activated). The first embodiment of the invention includes a mailing sheet having an upper and lower half, with the upper half carrying the addresses and the message, and the lower half having windows which match the location of the addresses on the upper half of the mailer. The second embodiment of the invention involves a mailer having a first full sheet having an upper portion on which the messages are printed, and a lower portion on which the addresses are printed. On the rear side of the main sheet is a short partial sheet toward the bottom of the main sheet forming an envelope, and with a transverse strip of adhesive immediately above the envelope pocket to seal the envelope. Perforations extend across the main sheet just above the adhesive-coated strip, so that the message section may be separated from the envelope portion, and the message portion folded and placed within the envelope, and the envelope sealed.

    • Generally speaking, a method for forming custom-printed, three dimensional structures using a computer and a computer-controlled printer, has several steps. A flexible rectangular sheet is perforated to form a removable portion. Lines of weakness are formed on the removable portion, to serve as fold lines that ultimately folding the two-dimensional removable portion into a three-dimensional structure. A user instructs a computer program to command a computer-controlled printer to print particular information onto the printing surface of said removable portion. After printing, the user removes the removable portion from the sheet along the perforations and then folds the removable portion along the lines of weakness and secures the folded sheet into a three dimensional structure. The removable portion may be provided with a pressure-sensitive, water-activated, cohesive or other type of adhesive for adhering securing the folded sheet into the three-dimensional structure. The computer program enables the user to design the custom-printing for the structure, and optionally to preview the ultimate appearance of the three-dimensional structure.

    • A double thickness label assembly has a label layer having a pressure sensitive adhesive mounted on a backing layer. The backing layer has a release coating for removal of the labels. The label assembly is divided into two or more sections by perforations that extend through both layers of the assembly. Each individual section is designed to have increased flexibility at its leading edge by means of die cut and/or perforated lines so that the section can feed through a laser printer without getting jammed. The user may choose to either print the sheet in its entirety, or may print one or more sections and save the remainder of the sheet for later use. A convenient method of preparing small sets of labels uses a divisible sheet of labels that is divided into sections by perforations. A user first divides the sheet into the sections. Each section includes a number of die cut labels. The user then adjusts the feeding mechanism on a laser printer to the width of the section sheets, then prints the labels on the section sheets.

    • A brushless white-out correcting fluid applicator for use in applying white-out fluid to paper without using a brush. The white-out fluid is a suspension including a substantial proportion of white or substantially white particles, such as titanium dioxide, or other color particles. The applicator includes a wear-resistant, porous tip and a regulator between the tip and a reservoir. The regulator may be formed of foam material, and the tip may be of sturdy porous plastic. The size of the pores in the tip and regulator are large enough so that they do not become clogged with particles in the white-out fluid. The regulator prevents the tip from dripping by regulating the rate at which fluid can leave the reservoir. The size of the pores adjacent the reservoir may be different than the size of the pores and passageways adjacent the tip. The applicator may be provided with an air-tight cap to avoid drying out between uses. Alternative embodiments of the applicator include a foam tip with a nylon mesh outer covering for wear resistance; and an internal, pressure actuated valve may be included to regulate the flow of the white-out suspension to the tip.
