    • The invention relates to a powder diffuser nozzle (2) for an electrostatic dusting device, which is designed to be positioned at the end of an applicator gun. The inventive nozzle (2) comprises: a lateral wall (49) which defines a passage that extends from the powder conduit (8) of the gun (3), and a base (56) which seals said conduit (8) at the end thereof. In addition, a port (57) is provided in the lateral wall (49) close to the base (56) in order to connect the powder conduit (8) with the exterior of the nozzle (2). The axis (A1) of the port (57) forms a determined angle (A) with the axis (A2) of the powder conduit (8). Moreover, at least one deflector (58) is provided on the base of the nozzle (56) or on the lateral wall (49) close to said base in order to divert the jet of powder from the conduit (8) along the axis (A1) of the port (57).

    • An electrostatic spraying installation for conductive liquid coating product comprises a circuit for distributing fluids including the conductive coating product. At least one coating product sprayer is fed by this circuit and is connected to a variable or interruptible high voltage supply. At least one insulated auxiliary coating product storage tank is adapted to be raised to the high voltage. The installation includes at least one rinsing product supply and at least one compressed air supply. The circuit comprises at least one mobile member isolator connected between two parts of the distribution circuit to isolate the upstream circuit part from the high voltage. The installation comprises an arrangement of valves on the upstream and downstream sides of the isolator connected to the rinsing product supply and to the compressed air supply for cleaning and purging the isolator before it is opened each time.

    • Electrostatic powder-coating method, whereby a fan-spray of electrically charged powder particles is directed toward an object to be coated, said spray being formed from an incident stream consisting of a mixture of powder and carrier-gas, comprising means for re-homogenizing said incident stream, means for subsequently deflecting said stream in a direction substantially perpendicular to its incident direction, means for thereafter driving said stream against the internal walls of a duct designed to convert said stream into a fan-shaped spray, and means for electrically charging the powder particles of the said spray. The re-homogenizing means may, however, be omitted in certain cases.
