    • A container includes a body forming an interior and having a sidewall with a distal edge portion forming an opening to the interior. A liner is disposed over the opening and includes an inner portion and an outermost radial portion disposed radially outwardly of the distal edge portion. A lid including an interior surface and at least one tab projecting inward from the interior surface is disposed over the liner and engages the body. The liner is sized to be releasably rotatably secured within the lid while the lid is initially attached to the body so that the at least one tab remains generally rotationally fixed relative to the outermost radial portion while being assembled to the body. The at least one tab is arrange to press the outermost radial portion while the lid is being removed from the body so that the outermost radial portion maintains a bent orientation.

    • A wake up server permits both parties (the receiver and the responder) to be connected to the Internet only when a request or response is to be delivered. The wake up server consists of two parts; a server, which contains the telephone numbers of all machines (application partners) that dial to connect to the Internet, and on each application partner, a process monitor that monitors the telephone line and detects when a ring occurs. When an application partner is unable to deliver a request or response to another application partner, a request is sent to the wake up server to activate the target application partner. The wake up server dials the telephone number of the requested application partner and waits for ringing to occur. The wake up server then disconnects (i.e., hangs up the telephone line). The wake up monitor detects the ring and immediately dials to connect to the Internet. When the original application partner tries to send the response or request again, the process will now be successful. Application partners stay connected until a specified time of inactivity or other application initiated event signaling that the connection is no longer required. The application partners then activate their respective wake up monitors, which disconnect the application partners from the Internet and wait again for a ring from the wake up server.

    • A reusable, tamper-indicating seal comprises a drum confined within a fixed body and rotatable in one direction therewithin, the top of the drum constituting a tray carrying a large number of small balls of several different colors. The fixed body contains parallel holes for looping a seal wire therethrough. The base of the drums carries cams adapted to coact with cam followers to lock the wire within the seal at one angular position of the drum. A channel in the fixed body -- visible from outside the seal -- adjacent the tray constitutes a segregated location for a small plurality of the colored balls. A spring in the tray forces colored balls into the segregated location at one angular position of the drum, further rotation securing the balls in position and the wires in the seal. A wedge-shaped plough removes the balls from the segregated location, at a different angular position of the drum, the wire being unlocked at the same position. A new pattern of colored balls will appear in the segregated location when the seal is relocked.
