    • Plural auxiliary devices such as a water pump and a generator coupled to a serpentine belt-drive system are driven by an internal combustion engine mounted on an automobile vehicle. The generator is divided into a first generator having a pulley in which a one-way clutch is installed and a second generator having a usual solid pulley. Fluctuations in the belt tension caused by changes in instantaneous rotational speed of the internal combustion engine are suppressed or reduced by the one-way clutch installed in the pulley of the first generator. An inertia torque of a rotor of the first generator may be made higher than that of the second generator because effects of the inertia torque on the belt tension fluctuations are alleviated by the one-way clutch.

    • A rotating electric machine for a vehicle includes magnet holders for holding permanent magnets. The magnet holder is fitted between adjacent two claw-like magnetic poles of pole cores, and plural permanent magnets are provided to be magnetized for reducing magnetic-flux leakage between the magnetic poles. The magnet holder includes a radial outer surface, and a protrusion that protrudes from the radial outer surface to a radial outside around a center in a circumferential direction. Therefore, a thickness of the radial outside surface of the magnet holder increases, and its rigidity can be increased. Accordingly, it can prevent the radial outside surface of the magnet holder from being deformed due to centrifugal force, and it can prevent the magnet holder from being damaged.

    • In a rotary electric machine with a stator elastic support structure, conductor segments of a stator winding, each which is formed into an approximate U-shape, are inserted into slots of a stator core in such a manner that leg parts of each conductor segment penetrate through the slots from one end of the stator core to the other end thereof and are connected at top ends. Further, the conductor segments are arranged to have a predetermined clearance between adjacent two thereof at both coil ends of the stator winding, and a cooling fan is disposed so that air is blown toward the clearances of the conductor segments. Accordingly, when the stator core is supported in a frame through an elastic member, a magnetic noise can be reduced while it can effectively prevent heat deterioration of the elastic member due to heat radiated from the stator core and the stator winding, in low cost.
