摘要： Methods to at least partially reduce a niobium oxide are described wherein the process includes mixing the niobium oxide and niobium powder to form a powder mixture that is then heat treated to form heat treated particles which then undergo reacting in an atmosphere which permits the transfer of oxygen atoms from the niobium oxide to the niobium powder, and at a temperature and for a time sufficient to form an oxygen reduced niobium oxide. Oxygen reduced niobium oxides having high porosity are also described as well as capacitors containing anodes made from the oxygen reduced niobium oxides.

摘要： A module and an apparatus incorporating such module utilizing a plurality of tubular membrane elements, each configured to separate oxygen from an oxygen containing feed stream when an electric potential difference is applied to induce oxygen ion transport in an electrolyte thereof. The tubular membrane elements can be arranged in a bundle that is held in place by end insulating members. The insulating members can be positioned within opposed openings of end walls of a heated enclosure and can incorporate bores to allow an oxygen containing feed stream to flow past exposed ends of the tubular membrane elements for cooling the end seals of such elements. Further, first and second manifolds can be provided in a module in accordance with the present invention to collect separated oxygen from two separate portions of the tubular membrane elements.

The apparatus includes primary and secondary oxygen separation zones and tubular electrically driven oxygen separation elements. There are more elements in the primary zone than the secondary zone so that low concentrations of oxygen can be obtained in a purified stream and turbulent flow conditions can also be obtained that will permit purification to very low levels. In addition, a junction is provided to connect the tubular separation elements to metallic elements such as manifolds.

摘要： A system and method for assembling all components of a page to be printed, such as a full newspaper page consisting of both text and illustrations. The end product can be a positive or negative image on paper or film, or a final printing plate. The uniqueness of the invention resides in the combination of text matter directly from a computer memory with illustrations physically stored on part of a device. A photoelectric transducer scans the illustrative copy to generate electronic signals in real-time. These electronic signals are combined with the electronic signals generated by the computer text through a logic circuit so that each item is transmitted through a recording means such as a recording (writing) laser to provide the proper image, in the proper page location on the recorder surface. The approach of the invention is a machine with illustrative copy working jointly with a computer containing text matter that outputs the completed page, with each component in its proper position, through a writing device.
