    • The present invention is directed to a system comprising one or more multimedia workstations, a high-speed data network, and one or more multimedia servers and associated multimedia network adapters. The server of the present invention may be implemented to be responsible for almost all data processing functionality, relieving the client workstation of this responsibility, and allowing the workstation to serve instead as a repository for multimedia data. In one embodiment, true color pictures, graphic images, etc. are sent directly by the server to each workstation over a high-speed data network with no processing or encoding. For example, a 640.times.480.times.16 bit/pixel image could be sent at 640.times.480.times.2=614,400 bytes of network data. The workstation client needs to perform no substantive processing on the data in order to display it on a video display. Rather, the workstation needs only to store the data to a local graphics frame buffer. For MPEG data, the client simply receives the raw data and passes it to a hardware decoder on the board, thus avoiding any need for software processing.

    • A system and method of oxygenating liquid fuels, such as diesel fuel, heating oil, gasoline, and other combustible liquid fuels. Oxygenated fuel may be used by vehicles, aviation aircraft and heating systems to increase performance and efficiency and produce cleaner emissions. Liquid fuel is oxygenated by depositing concentrated oxygen gas directly into the fuel, typically when the fuel is stored in a container such as a fuel tank of a motor vehicle. Concentrated oxygen gas percolates with the liquid fuel, thereby producing oxygenated fuel. The use of oxygenation liquid fuel by a combustion system results in increased fuel efficiency, as seen by increased efficiency (such as better gas mileage and horsepower), and improvements in the quality of exhaust emissions, as seen by reduced amounts of CO2 and NO produced during combustion of oxygenated liquid fuel.

    • The invention provides a durable, lubricious coating for a medical article that can be prepared from a first polymer that is synthetic, soluble in a polar liquid, and having first reactive groups, and a second polymer that is synthetic, hydrophilic, and that includes second reactive groups. The first reactive groups and a portion of the second reactive groups react to bond the first polymer to the second polymer. A portion of the second reactive groups remains unbonded which, upon neutralization, provide lubricious properties to the coating. In some aspects the coating is formed using a crosslinking agent having latent reactive groups. The coatings provide particularly long dry out times and are very useful for catheterization processes. In addition, the coatings can be subject to sterilization with ethylene oxide and retain very good durable and lubricious properties.
