摘要： The present invention discloses an economical and disposable cleaning tool which may be prepared by a simplified manufacturing process involving a reduced number of steps. The cleaning tool comprises a cleaning pad and an implementing means, the cleaning pad having a pocket for receiving the implementing means. The cleaning pad may be provided with a top sheet and a fiber bundle. The top sheet is folded over and bonded to provide a cleaning portion and a back portion, and the fiber bundle is disposed on the cleaning portion. The cleaning portion and the back portion of the folded sheet are bonded together forming the pocket for a handle to be disposed therein. The handle may include a hinge to enable the handle to be repeatedly folded over for convenient storage or easily extended for use.

摘要： Error tolerance is increased for a storage system having a plurality of arrays by making local redundancy in a selected array globally available throughout the storage system. To achieve the increased error tolerance, a donor array is selected from the plurality of arrays when the difference between a minimum distance of the donor array and a minimum distance of a recipient array is greater or equal to 2. A donor storage unit is selected in the donor array and recipient information is then rebuilt from the recipient array on the selected storage unit. The selected storage unit is indicated to the donor array as having been donated before the lost information is rebuilt on the selected storage unit. Preferably, the minimum Hamming distance of the recipient array is d≧2 before the donor array is selected from the plurality of arrays.

摘要： An expandable balloon for use in angioplasty procedures comprises a balloon having an outer surface layer, the outer surface layer being made from electrospun nanofibers and incorporating at least one pharmaceutically active substance, such as nitric oxide (NO). The outer surface layer may be formed on a separate flexible tubular member or sock, which is slipped over the balloon. An acidic agent, such as ascorbic acid, may be included in the balloon for enhancing NO release. A method of treating cell disorders in tubular structures of a living being comprises the steps of placing a coated balloon at a treatment site within the tubular structures, expanding the balloon at the treatment site, and releasing the pharmaceutically active substance at the treatment site. Optionally, a stent may be crimped onto the balloon prior to insertion of the balloon and stent into the tubular structures of the living being.

摘要： An attachment for a telescopic material handler supplies five degrees of freedom (DOF) for the task of picking, manipulating and aiding in the installation of vertical and horizontal wall cladding and other construction materials. The cladding can be of a size up to 1.3×8.0 m and a mass of 350 kg. The control and positioning of the load is accomplished through standard operation of the telehandler in conjunction with wireless control of the five DOF of the device. Hydraulic power for the device functions may be supplied through the telehandler auxiliary circuit. The auxiliary flow also powers a hydraulic generator, which supplies the device with electrical power for both system logic and control and vacuum generation. The cladding panels are handled by the vacuum system.

摘要： An emergency eyewash station is disclosed. The eyewash station includes a body portion and a reservoir contained within the body portion. The reservoir contains eyewash fluid and has a filling port with a sealed membrane thereon. An actuator assembly is connected to the body portion and is movable between an armed position and an actuated position. The actuator assembly has a dispensing structure thereon. A piercing mechanism is positioned adjacent to the membrane of the reservoir and has a movable piercing element configured to puncture the membrane when the actuator assembly is activated. Activating the actuator assembly puts the dispensing structure in fluid connection with the reservoir when the piercing element pierces the membrane. In an alternative embodiment, the reservoir is configured to be impaled upon the piercing element upon activation.

摘要： A sensor involving a housing having a lower orifice to which a primary hose is connected. A secondary hose inside the primary hose is slightly shorter than the primary hose, with these hoses being placed inside a bin for determining fill level. One of two upper orifices in the housing is connected to a supply of air under pressure, with this air normally caused to flow outwardly from one of the hoses. Upon the degree of the fill of the bin being such that the material approaches the remote end of one of the hoses, the air normally flowing from the one hose is caused to be deflected into the remote end of the other of the hoses, causing a pressure increase. This pressure increase is directed through the other upper orifice, for being sensed at remotely located pressure sensing equipment.
