摘要： A method of discriminating left or right for breast regions, including generating data of plural breast images when a left breast region and a right breast region are alternately imaged in an order and are repeatedly imaged in various imaging directions in the same order by image generating sections arranged in a certain direction. A breast image is specified which is capable of being discriminated whether the imaged breast region is left or right among the plural breast images, and it is discriminated whether the left breast region or the right breast region is imaged concerning other breast images, based on the specified breast image and the order of imaging of the plural breast images of a single patient.

摘要： In a controller which controls a reader for reading a radiographic image recorded in a cassette, a display controlling device is provided for the user to select one of three modes. The three modes are a pre-registration, a post-registration mode, and a non-registration mode. In the pre-registration mode, radiographing is conducted to acquire an image after the relationship between information of the body part to be radiographed and the cassette has been registered as radiographing reservation information. In the post-registration mode, an image is acquired after the relationship between information of the body part to be radiographed and the cassette insertion order has been registered as radiographing reservation information. In the non-registration mode, an image is acquired without registration of any relationship as radiographing reservation information and the following processes are continued according to the user's selected mode.

The radiographic imaging system includes a plurality of controllers, each of which has an image-display section; a plurality of radiation-image reading apparatus to read a radiation image stored in a radiation-image storing sheet so as to generate image data; and a network to link the plurality of controllers and the plurality of radiation-image reading apparatus; wherein the controller requests a radiation-image reading apparatus to transmit the image data, read by the radiation-image reading apparatus, to the controller. The radiation-image reading apparatus reads a sheet-discrimination information in regard to each of the radiation-image storing sheets, and transmits the sheet-discrimination information to the plurality of controllers, and one of the controllers requests the radiation-image reading apparatus to transmit the image data to the controller, based on the sheet-discrimination information sent from the radiation-image reading apparatus.

摘要： The invention is designed to help coordinate the processing of radiographic images for a lab, hospital, office, or other locations for example. The image reading system may have a reading device for reading image information from a containing member in which a recording medium capable of recording a radiographic image is built. The control device may set a reading condition of the containing member. An ID giving section may provide ID information to one of the containing member and the recording medium. A storage section may store the reading condition. A selecting section may select at least one of a first registration type and a second registration type, the first registration type being for registering a correspondence between the reading condition and the containing member or the recording medium before image recording and the second registration type being for registering the correspondence after the image recording, and for using the system on a basis of the selected registration type. A control section may correlate the reading device, the ID giving section, the control device, and the storage section.
