摘要： A valve device comprises a flow passage, a storage chamber, a valve seat, a diaphragm, a valve-closing unit, and a first biasing member. A fluid passes through the flow passage. The storage chamber is disposed in the flow passage for storing the fluid. The storing chamber includes an opening. The valve seat includes a communicating hole for releasing the fluid in the storage chamber through the communicating hole to the outside. The diaphragm operates to cover the opening of the storage chamber and displaces relative to the valve seat. The valve-closing unit brings the diaphragm into contact with the valve seat so as to block the communicating hole. The first biasing member expands a clearance between the diaphragm and the valve seat to open the valve device.

The switching mechanism includes a body having a communication passage in communication with the ejection head, a first diaphragm chamber and a second diaphragm chamber that communicate with each other through the communication passage and located to facing each other, a first diaphragm and a second diaphragm arranged in the first diaphragm chamber and the second diaphragm chamber, respectively, and capable of opening and closing the communication passage, and an operation mechanism provided in the communication passage. The operation mechanism includes a first operation end and a second operation end that operate the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm, respectively, when the communication passage is opened to allow communication between at least one of the first and second diaphragm chambers and the ejection head, and an urging member that urges the first and second operation ends in a direction in which the communication passage is opened by the first and second diaphragms.

The computer compares the detected remaining amount of the ink when the remaining amount of ink is determined to be less than or equal to the reference value with the calculated usage.

A moving picture encoding apparatus for encoding a moving picture through motion-compensated inter-frame prediction has: a MPEG-2 encoding unit including a motion vector estimator, a frame memory, a forward prediction circuit, a bidirectional prediction circuit, a prediction selection circuit, an intra-frame encoding circuit and a local decoding circuit; a MPEG-4 encoding unit including a frame extraction circuit for extracting a predetermined MPEG-2 frame and a transcoder for encoding the extracted frame; a motion vector calculator calculating a motion vector to be used for MPEG-4 prediction from a motion vector to be used for MPEG-2 prediction; and a prediction mode controller controlling the prediction mode of the MPEG-2 encoding unit in such that the MPEG-2 prediction mode becomes coincident with the MPEG-4 prediction mode.

In case of detecting that the data is not encrypted in accordance with a predetermined encryption system by an encryption detection circuit and when the watermarks are detected by a watermark detection circuit, reproduction of the data is stopped by a reproduction restricting circuit. In a case that it is detected to be encrypted in the predetermined encryption system by the encryption detection circuit, the reproduction restricting circuit will not stop the reproduction thereof.
