    • The similarity groups of the pressure differential-current characteristics of solenoid valves are measured in advance, and the measurement results are used to select the solenoid valves to be used for first to fourth pressure increase control valves. Only solenoid valves in the same region in terms of their similarity group of the pressure differential-current characteristics are used for the first to fourth pressure increase control valves. A board on which the first to fourth control valves are mounted is provided with a mark unit that indicates the similarity group of the pressure differential-current characteristics of the first to forth pressure increase control valves. The mark unit includes a resistor. A brake ECU uses the resistance value of the resistor to identify the similarity group of the pressure differential-current characteristics of the first to fourth pressure increase control valves.

    • The control device adapted to a vehicle brake apparatus includes a vacuum obtaining portion, a master cylinder pressure obtaining portion and a boosting control portion for executing a boosting control which controls supplying of a boosting pressure established by driving the hydraulic pressure pump and controlling the pressure differential control valve so that the boosting pressure agrees to a target boosting pressure obtained with a target boosting gain smaller than a basic boosting gain which indicates a servo-ratio of the vacuum booster up to the time, when the master cylinder pressure becomes equal to or more than a boosting limit pressure which is a master cylinder pressure corresponding to a boosting limit of the vacuum booster at the vacuum obtained by the vacuum pressure obtaining portion, in addition to the master cylinder pressure established in response to the operation of the brake operation member.

    • In an electronic appliance equipped with a light emitting apparatus 30, a transparent sheet member 31 having a character, a pattern or other symbols is arranged on a front surface of a transmission type flat-shaped light emitting apparatus 32. A colored sheet member 33 is arranged behind this light emitting apparatus. Openings 21 are formed in the colored sheet member 31, the light emitting apparatus 32, and the transparent sheet member 33. These openings are communicated therethrough. A pointer shaft 19 and 20 of a gear train mechanism 17 for indicating a present time is penetrated through the openings. Hands 22 and 23 are rotatably driven above the transparent sheet member 31. When the light emitting apparatus 32 is turned OFF, the colored sheet member 33 can be observed through the transparent sheet member 31 and the transparent light emitting apparatus 32. Accordingly, the colored sheet member 33 may provide high-grade quality and decorative feelings. When the light emitting apparatus 32 is turned ON, the emitted light can illuminate the hands 22 and 23 via the transparent sheet member 31.

    • A method for heating steel pipe for induction heating coils, while the pipe is travelling through said coils in the axial direction, which comprises:(a) calculating the limit absorption electric power density Po (W/cm.sup.2) by the followng formula:Po = 1/40 x T x .sqroot.dwhere T = heating temperature (.degree. C) and d = wall thickness (mm);(b) attaching a power supply of low frequency to the induction heating coils;(c) setting said power supply for maximum capacity to be impressed to said induction heating coils, and(d) heating the steel pipe as it is travelling through said induction heating coils heated by said power supply, at such speed as to permit the steel pipe to be heated to the desired temperature, and heating the steel pipe with the set power if the absorption electric power density P by the set power is P .gtoreq. Po, and heating the steel pipe by shortening the effective length of the induction heating coils to obtain P .gtoreq. Po if P .ltoreq. Po; thereby causing the difference in the temperature between the ends and the central portion of the steel pipe in the axial direction to be no greater than about 20.degree. C.
