摘要： A computer-aided expert system comprising a hypermedia structured expert system and a hypermedia-structured multi-level electronic document archive linked thereto. The expert system includes a knowledge base, an inference engine that interacts with the knowledge base to generate advice. A hypermedia interface having knowledge base transfer means is provided on a display that includes selectable areas that provide access to active and passive documents in the document archive. The document archive includes active and passive electronic documents interlinked by means of the hypermedia interface and linked to the expert system by means of the hypermedia interface. Each active and passive electronic document includes active document transfer means that provide for transfer from the active document to another active document, a passive document, or a knowledge base linked thereto. The expert system, and the active and passive documents may also include knowledge base transfer means provided on the display that include selectable areas that provide access to additional linked expert systems. The present invention provides an expert system that incorporates the ability to have both electronic-based documents and an expert system coexist within a single computer program. This enables a developer to interlink both the expert system and the electronic documents as desired to permit smooth uninterrupted movement between them.

摘要： The right angle steel worker's layout tool is a tool with a pair of adjustable marking slides that are each used for determining the location of welds and holes on steel beams. Each of the pair of adjustable marking slides is comprised of a lower lock plate, an upper lock plate, a lock knob, and a screw member. The lower lock plate is able to slide along a track groove provided on the tool. The lock knob is used to secure the upper lock plate and the lower lock plate at a designated location along the track groove. The track groove includes a plurality of markings used to designate different dimensions.

摘要： The purpose of the present invention is to demonstrate that semiconducting and non-biodegradable implants made with polypyrrole and polyethylenglycol copolymers and iodine-doped and plasma-synthesised pyrrole polymers, have a neuroprotector effect and induce the reconnection of the spinal cord after an injury; this effect was proved in a model involving a complete section of the spinal cord in rats; the results o the functional evaluation demonstrated 5 times greater recovery in animals implanted with the polypyrrole-polyethylenglycol copolymer compared with the control group which only underwent a complete section of the spinal cord; in addition, the functional recovery of the group with iodine-doped polypyrrole was ten times greater compared to the control group; in the histological study various inflammatory and immune cells were identified at the injury site in the three experimental groups with and without implants and the integration of the polymers in the nervous tissue of the spinal cord was also observed; finally, no respiratory, renal or skin infections, adverse effects or rejection of the biomaterials were found in any of the animals.
