    • The present invention introduces a location determining system. The location determining system includes a reader array and a location determining engine server. The reader array includes three readers, where each reader includes a plurality of reader groups that receives a tag information signal transmitted from the tag, generates a PN code generated from inside, correlation and standard deviation of the correlation, and bypasses the tag information signal, in a case a ratio of correlation and standard deviation of the correlation is greater than a predetermined critical value. The location determining engine server determines a final location value relative to the tag, using the tag information signal having a time difference of tag information signals received from the three readers forming each reader group among the tag information signals bypassed by the plurality of reader groups smaller than a predetermined marginal time difference.

In the key input device, a mode key is pressed to select one of a plurality of key matrixes for a corresponding mode, which is displayed on a display. A first directional key is used for inter-cell movement in the displayed key matrix and a second directional key is used to select an intended digit/letter/character/symbol within a cell. In the character input method, a mode with a unique key matrix is set by pressing a mode key. An intended cell is moved to within the key matrix by pressing a first directional key. An intended digit/letter/character/symbol is selected in the cell by pressing a second directional key. The selected digit/letter/character/symbol is displayed on a display.

    • A sliding type portable terminal is provided. The sliding type portable terminal includes a first housing, a second housing connected with the first housing while facing the first housing and reciprocating on the first housing in a straight direction, and a guide member mounted to the first housing, the guide member being slidably connected to the second housing while surrounding edges of a rear case of the second housing, wherein ends of both sides of the guide member are surrounded by a front case of the second housing. The sliding type portable terminal can be readily reduced in thickness because the guide member mounted to the first housing is slidably connected to the rear case of the second housing while surrounding the rear case of the second housing. Further, a battery mounting hole is formed in the first housing and closed by the guide member at the one face of the first housing, by which the reduction of thickness of the sliding type portable terminal is more efficiently achieved.
