    • Disclosed is a sheet conveying mechanism for an original to be reproduced in a reproducing apparatus, comprising means, including a rotatable drum having an air-permeable circumferential shell surface, for supporting the original; non-rotatable means disposed within the drum for dividing the space within the drum and the circumferential shell surface of the drum into three separate regions; means associated with the drum for selectively producing positive and negative pressure within each of the separate drum regions; means for exposing and scanning the original, positioned adjacent a first one of said separate drum regions; means, associated with the drum and being responsive to movement of the original around the drum, for controlling the pressure-producing means; and first and second means, cooperating with the drum and located adjacent the circumferential shell surface of the drum in the area of a second one of the separate drum regions, for transporting the original around the drum.

    • A system for the assembly of devices for fixing workpieces to machine tool tables, including a base plate, which can be fixed to the machine tool table, or the like. Fitting holes are formed in the base plate with regular coordinate spacings. In the base plate, in a plane at right angles to the fitting holes, are formed preferably intersecting cross holes, whose diameter corresponds to that of the fitting holes. Nuts for the fitting screws are inserted both in the cross holes and the fitting holes, in order to fix mounting parts to the base plate. The cross-section of each nut corresponds to that of each cross and fitting hole. The mounting parts are preferably provided with cross and fitting holes similar in arrangement to the base plate. As the grid size corresponds to the thickness of the base plate and mounting parts and the external dimensions can be divided by the grid size, numerous possible combinations result from the intersecting fitting and cross holes, whose diameter preferably corresponds to half the grid size.

    • An attaching and coupling element for a system for building devices for clamping workpieces, which system comprises a T-groove section having T-shaped grooves extending longitudinally and vertical bores spaced apart at a grid spacing from one another in the longitudinal direction and extending vertically into the T-shaped grooves, has a holding member provided with sliding blocks on an underside of the holding member and a coupling plate having an underside with a recess for receiving the holding member. At least two of the sliding blocks are spaced at the grid spacing from one another. The holding member has passages spaced at the grid spacing from one another. The coupling plate has centering pins and at least two of the centering pins are spaced at the grid spacing from one another. The centering pins are insertable through the passages of the holding member into the vertical bores.

    • A diagonal strut for a system for the construction of arrangements used for mounting workpieces on machine tool tables in a defined and reproducible position. The system includes a base plate and receiving members connected to each other by the diagonal strut. The base plate and the receiving members have connecting bores whose axes are arranged spaced from each other at unit spacings. The diagonal strut has transverse connecting bores whose axes are spaced apart at a distance which corresponds to five times the unit spacing or a multiple thereof. Two end faces are arranged at each end of the diagonal strut. The end faces extend at a right angle relative to each other and one of the end faces includes an angle of 36.87.degree. with a centerline extending through the axes of the transverse connecting bores and the other end face includes an angle of 53.13.degree. with the centerline. The two end faces at the ends of the diagonal strut including the same angle with the centerline are arranged on opposite sides of the diagonal strut. Each end face is spaced from the axis of the adjacent transverse connecting bore by half a unit spacing. End connecting bores extend perpendicularly to each end face and through the axis of the adjacent transverse connecting bore.
