摘要： A mobile communication terminal with a multi-input device and a method of using the same is provided. The mobile terminal performs an entry function and a search function using a multi-entry unit. The multi-entry unit includes a light-emitting sheet having a variety of colors, and being illuminated with designated colors according to character categories during a touch-entry mode for a key entry function; a sense pad for detecting a key entry signal during the touch-entry mode, and detecting a selection signal generated by rotation during the wheel mode; a transparent ground sheet for separating the sense pad from the light-emitting sheet; and an injection material in which characters displayed during the touch-entry mode are differently formed according to their categories, and the characters are illuminated with their unique colors through the light-emitting sheet so that desired characters are displayed.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for driving a communication terminal are provided. A method for driving a communication terminal according to the present invention includes determining, when a proximity of an object is detected, data based on a proximity duration for which the proximity is maintained, and executing, when an execution request is detected, a function corresponding to the data. Since a specific function is executed in response to the information on the proximity of an object to the communication terminal, there is no need to display touch keys on the screen, resulting in improvement of user's convenience.

The method includes receiving and demodulating digital broadcasting data according to at least one broadcasting channel serviced in a frequency band used by the broadcasting station when the broadcasting channel of a predetermined broadcasting station is selected, outputting the digital broadcasting data of the selected broadcasting channel among the demodulated digital broadcasting data according to the broadcasting channels, storing digital broadcasting data according to the broadcasting channels except the selected broadcasting channel, and when there is a request for switching one of the broadcasting channels serviced by the broadcasting station, retrieving and outputting the digital broadcasting data of the requested broadcasting channel among the stored data. Since it is possible to quickly switch broadcasting channels in the apparatus during output of the digital broadcasting, the convenience for users is improved.

The antenna device includes a radio frequency (RF) board on the portable terminal, an antenna connected to the RF board, a connection line for connecting the RF board to the antenna device, and matching circuits at both ends of the connection line.
