    • A cable connector assembly includes an insulator (1), a plurality of conductive terminals (2) held in the insulator, a plurality of wires (4), a spacer (3) and a metal shell (6, 7). Each wire comprises an inner conductor (41) conductively connecting with the terminals, and at least one of the wires is a coaxial cable (4a) which has a shielding braid layer (43) enclosing the corresponding inner conductor. The spacer is mounted on the insulator and used for supporting the wires. The spacer comprises an inner surface with thereof a plurality of slots (31) for receiving the responding wires and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface, and a through-hole (32) is formed through the inner and outer surfaces. The metal shell is mounted on and covers the insulator. The spring finger (75) is formed integrate with the metal shell and extends inwards, and the spring finger passes through the through-hole to electrically connect with the shielding braid of the coaxial cable.

    • A micro coaxial connector assembly (100) comprises an insulative housing (1), a contact set (2) assembled to a rear end of the housing and comprising an insulative insert (21), and a plurality of contacts (22), and a plurality of wires (3). The insulative insert defines a plurality of channels (211) and a plurality of passageways (210) respectively communicating with the channels. Each of the contacts comprises an engaging portion (221) extending through a corresponding passageway, and a connecting portion (222) received in a channel for soldering to an exposed end of a conductor (31) of a wire. Each channel has a soldering portion (2111), an obstructing portion (2112), and a retention portion (2113). The exposed end of the conductor is received in the soldering and obstructing portion. An insulation of the wire sheathing the conductor is received in the retention portion, whereby hot air applied to the soldering portion in order to solder the exposed end of the conductor and the connecting portion of the contact together is prevented from flowing into the retention portion to melt the insulation.

    • A cable end connector includes a dielectric housing, a terminal received in the housing, a shell shielding the housing, and a retainer attached to the shell for holding a coaxial cable therein. The housing includes a tubular portion defining a passageway therethrough, and a base portion engaged with the tubular portion. The terminal has a mating portion held in the passageway for mating with a complementary connector, and a tail portion supported on the base portion for connecting with an inner conductor of the coaxial cable. The shell has a trunk portion enclosing the tubular portion of the housing, and a planar portion connected to the base portion and supporting the housing. A pair of arms rearwardly extend from the trunk portion for accommodating the tail portion of the terminal therebetween. The retainer has a braiding crimp for grounding a braiding layer of the coaxial cable.

    • A receptacle-type electrical connector (1) for connecting conductors of a wire to pin terminals of a complementary connector comprises a dielectric housing (10) defining an array of terminal passageways (11) therein and corresponding receptacle terminals (30) assembled in the terminal passageways. The housing has front and rear faces and having front and rear openings (11b, 11c). A dam (13) is formed in each terminal passageway. A wedge (13a) rearwardly extends from the dam thereby defining a retaining gap (13b) in the passageway (11). Each terminal includes a base (30a). The base (30a) has a pair of first resilient arms (31) extending from a front portion thereof and adapted for engaging with a pin terminal of the complementary connector, a pair of second resilient arms (32) extending from a middle portion thereof, and tongue (34) projecting forward for being securely retained within the gap. The housing further forms a plurality of cantilevered flaps (12) extending forwardly from the rear face toward the front face, and a retaining space (12d) is defined at a front of each flap for retaining an anchoring foot (35) of the terminal. A cutout is positioned in the front portion of the base to increase resiliency of the first resilient arms.
