摘要： A lossless spatial filter having N input ports and N output ports and printed on a single substrate. The filer is used in combination with an antenna system which radiates wave energy signals into a selected angular region of space and into a desired radiation pattern. The aperture of the system includes a plurality of N antenna elements. The antenna elements are arranged along a predetermined path and each element is connected to only one output port of the spatial filter. A beam steering unit controls the direction of radiation. A signal generator supplies a power divider having N output signal ports each connected to a phase shifter controlled by the beam steering unit.

摘要： An antenna feed network implemented preferably in stripline for connecting the elements of a linear or planar array with a common port for transmit/receive operation. The network acts as a power divider/combiner and is entirely reciprocal. The network is realized in the form of a pattern of conductive traces on a single dielectric sheet of the stripline arrangement between parallel, spaced ground planes and does not require interconnections among multiple planes. The network may be utilized as a single or multiple beam forming network with the path lengths to the respective array radiators patterned to achieve a frequency scanning or beam normal array design.

摘要： A 360 degree scanning antenna is disclosed which includes a mechanism for anning the main beam of a cylindrical array in azimuth and over a limited angle in elevation in which a primary feedhorn illuminates a geodesic lens which in turn illuminates the cylindrical array structure. Energy is coupled from the parallel plate structure of the feedhorn assembly into the individual waveguides of the array via dielectric wedges extending from the waveguides.Scanning in elevation is accomplished by changing the transmitter frequency and in azimuth by rotating the primary feedhorn assembly.

摘要： A method and structure for correcting and linearizing the phase distribution along the waveguide transmission line feed of a long, highly dispersive, slow-wave, N-element antenna array. The method involves the phase probing of the individual radiating elements of a linear array formed by slotting a serpentine waveguide feed. This probing is carried out in predetermined equal increments of Y-elements each. The measured phase over each of the increments of Y-elements is subtracted from a theoretical or reference phase desired at the predetermined element and the phase error ( Delta phi ) thus determined is divided by Y. Individual dielectric panels are affixed to the serpentine broad internal walls (''''a'''' dimension walls). Enough panels are inserted between the radiators of each adjacent pair to provide a - Delta phi /Y phase shift. The process is repeated N/Y times for each linear array. A twodimensional array can be assembled from M of these linear arrays, with each linear array having equal phase distribution characteristics overall and among its N-elements.
