摘要： The subject invention is an electrical connector for a pair of printed circuit boards which utilizes a vertical pin header connected to one printed circuit board and a right angle receptacle connected to the other printed circuit board. The printed circuit boards are to be connected together by the electrical connector in a right angle relationship with one printed circuit board being located edgewise to the other printed circuit board. A mass of separate positive circuit paths is obtained from one printed circuit board to the other with the distance between contacts which form these circuit paths to be approximately two millimeters. The vertical pin header and the right angle receptacle are fixedly mounted on their respective printed circuit boards without the use of solder. The right angle receptacle matingly connects with the vertical pin header in only one position.

摘要： Connectors are provided for propagation of electrical signals in a plurality of closely spaced propagation paths, such as between circuits connected to conductive pads of circuit boards, each circuit presenting a certain characteristic impedance at a pad connected thereto. For example, each connector includes a plurality of resilient and electrically conductive signal-propagating interconnect means having opposite ends engageable with conductive pads on a pair of the circuit boards. The interconnect means are supported by insulating means of a support structure which also provides conductive ground means in adjacent relation to the conductive interconnect means. The conductive ground means are arranged for connection to grounding elements of the circuit boards. The configuration and characteristics of the ground conductor means and the insulating means in relation to each signal-propagating interconnect means are such as to obtain a certain characteristic impedance for matching the characteristic impedances of circuits interconnected by each signal-propagating interconnect means.

摘要： A connector for coaxial cables in the form of three flat cables. The coaxial cables are arranged in the cable holder in three rows, so that bared signal conductors extend straight from the cable holder in the insulating body of the connector and ground conductors or ground wires remain in the cable holder. The connector includes wide ground contacts which are inserted in the cable holder to contact the ground conductors or ground wires of the coaxial cables under pressure, and three rows of signal contacts to which bared ends of signal conductors of the coaxial cables are soldered. Three rows of signal contacts are supported by three parallel support plates, respectively. The ground contacts are arranged between first and second rows of the signal contacts and between second and third rows of the signal contacts. A ground shell surrounds the signal contacts whereby a multi-layer strip line structure is formed.
