    • A miniaturized library device is provided. The library device employs small-sized magazine having no flag used to detect positions of cells and the magazine is set so that a plurality of cells are arranged in one direction. An accessor mechanism having a picker mechanism to extract a cartridge from an arbitrary cell in the magazine is so mounted as to be movable along a guide rail and is positioned to a position of each of flags, which are arranged to correspond to positions of the cells in the magazine, and of a sensor flag section in a pendulum mechanism. The flags and a sensor flag section each are detected by a common X position sensor fixed to a base. Detection of presence or absence of the magazine is performed by detecting a position of the sensor flag section being displaced due to direct contact of a directly-contacted portion to the magazine.

    • A sensor includes a sensor main body, first and second electrodes, an electrode extraction hole, and an interconnection member. A cavity is formed in the sensor main body by joining the outer peripheral portions of the first and second substrates made of an insulating material. The first and second electrodes are formed on the inner surfaces of the first and second substrates which face each other through the cavity. The electrode extraction hole is formed through the first substrate in correspondence with the second electrode. The interconnection member guides the second electrode outside the first substrate through the cavity and the electrode extraction hole. The interconnection member is formed by thermal spraying of metal powder into the cavity from outside the sensor main body through the electrode extraction hole. An electrode extraction structure and electrode extraction method are also disclosed.

    • Disclosed is an intrinsically safe sensor signal processing circuit, permitting lower cost installation and eliminating potential hazard. In the combination of a sensor which measures physical value as process variables in hazardous environment and a safety barrier which is mounted in non-hazardous environment, an intrinsically safe sensor signal processing circuit features the safety barrier for case of mounting, wherein current limiting resistances are connected in series with the sensor and these resistances are also connected to either an output or an inverting input of OP Amps that are considered as a driver or a feeder of the sensor signal. The safety barrier can adopt blocking capacitors instead of said current limiting resistors.

    • An insertion device for inserting a deformable intraocular lens into the eye. The insertion device has a an enclosing member that is attached to the body of the insertion device and that has two hinge portions at a lens receiving section. Further, a retainer member is fitted onto the enclosing member and a holder fitted onto the body. The deformable intraocular lens is placed in the lens receiving section after the enclosing member is opened. When the holder is retracted, the intraocular lens is deformed by a tapered inner wall portion formed at a the tip end of the holder, so that the exterior size of the lens is reduced. Subsequently, a push rod supported by the body is advanced in order to insert the lens into the eye.
