    • Generation voltage control or generation torque control is performed as suitable control based on an external command or a load of a generator motor, to thereby prevent a rapid change of a generation torque or excessive power generation. A power converter control apparatus includes: a power conversion unit including a bridge circuit for controlling energization of an armature winding and a field circuit for controlling energization of a field winding; and a control device including B-terminal voltage detection means, field current detection means, generation voltage control means, generation torque control means, and control selection means. The control selection means selects the one of the generation voltage control means and the generation torque control means based on one of a command from an outside and a load of the generator motor.

    • A secondary-control-system power supply line is provided to supply electricity from a secondary power supply apparatus to an electronic control apparatus. When a primary power supply voltage becomes equal to or lower than a primary power supply determination voltage, a power supply control section turns a step-down switching element on and off to thereby supply electricity from the secondary power supply apparatus to the electronic control apparatus. When a secondary power supply voltage becomes equal to or lower than a secondary power supply determination voltage, the power supply control section turns a secondary power supply relay off so as to stop the supply of electric power from the secondary power supply apparatus to a motor drive circuit, and continues the supply of electric power to the electronic control apparatus. Thus, resetting of a microcomputer of the electronic control apparatus, which would otherwise occur due to a drop in the power supply voltage, is prevented.

    • A rotary electric machine having plural rotary elements in a non-coaxial arrangement is disclosed. The rotary electric machine includes a housing assembly, at least one stator frame mounted in the housing assembly, at least one stator winding wound on the at least one stator frame, and at least two rotors mounted in the housing assembly having axes of rotation that are non-coaxial, wherein each of the at least two rotors is mechanically decoupled from the other rotors such that each of the at least two rotors rotates independent from one another. The rotary electric machine also includes a control unit, with the control unit including at least one electronic control electrically connected to the at least one stator winding. The control unit is configured to control an exchange of power to or from each of the at least one stator windings.
