摘要： A calcined gypsum treatment apparatus has an agitating type of cooler provided with a cooling region for cooling the calcined gypsum, and a moisture supplying device for incorporating moisture into the calcined gypsum. The moisture supplying device includes a humid gas-feeding port which introduces humid gas including moisture or steam, directly into the cooling region. The calcined gypsum is introduced through a calcined gypsum introduction port into the cooling region, and the moisture is incorporated into the calcined gypsum to modify the calcined gypsum. The humid gas-feeding port is positioned in vicinity to the calcined gypsum introduction port so as to allow the spouted or delivered flow of the humid gas to be brought into contact with the calcined gypsum immediately after introduced into the cooling region.

Thereby drying efficacy is improved and is advantageous at relatively low drying temperatures such as below 40 degrees Celsius. There is also provided a door for a dryer, a method of operating a dryer and a method of drying, such as a method of drying pharmaceutical substances, compounds, ingredients or products.

摘要： A system and method for staged drying of temperature sensitive materials, the method comprising the following steps. Heated air is blown into a duct and solids are introduced into the duct at an elevated position along a vertical portion of the duct. The heated air and solids mixture is then transported along the duct for a desired retention time with adequate initial flash heating of the solids and then a gradual cool down of the solids. The solids are at an elevated temperature beyond the ambient dewpoint with evaporative cooling taking place. The solids and air mixture is then transported in the duct to a cyclone, where the solids are removed from the air. The air is exhausted out of the cyclone by an exhaust duct, and the solids are collected from the cyclone in a container.
