    • An ergometrically improved computer of typewriter keyboard having the keys arranged and designated so that they are operated using finger movements which substantially mimic those currently employed by a typist using a standard "QWERTY" keyboard. The keyboard is divided into two separate sections, one of which is intended to be used by the right hand of the operator and the other of which is intended to be used by the left hand to permit independent positioning of the two sections relative to one another. Each keyboard section includes a housing having a raised central portion designed to ergometrically support and steady the hands of the operator, in a natural relaxed position from which all of the keys may be operated without significant hand movement. The fingers and thumb are positioned in respective cavities each having a plurality of push button key switches arranged therein for engagement by the thumb and fingers, with a minimal and unique finger movement required to actuate any key. Each key touches a different part of each finger, providing differential tactile feedback. The fingers and thumbs never need to be moved from the cavities which eliminates all "float", and the hands are continually supported in one comfortable position. Extensive utilization of the thumbs is provided. The device is smaller and more versatile than a conventional keyboard.

    • The method and apparatus for input to electronic devices include a control circuit and a gyro module. The control circuit includes a microcontroller, where the microcontroller includes a digital bus, a receiver/transmitter module, a plurality of digital input pins, and an analog input pin. The gyro module is connected to the digital bus. The apparatus further includes a plurality of tactile switches connected to the digital pins. Further, a force sensitive resistor and a vibration motor interact with the control circuit. The force sensitive resistor is connected to the analog input pin of the microcontroller through a voltage divider, and the vibration motor is connected to the digital bus of the microcontroller through a motor controller. The apparatus also includes a communications antenna that is connected to the receiver/transmitter module of the microcontroller through a wireless module. A method includes various steps for inputting into an electronic device.

    • Systems and methods for registering key inputs are provided. A system includes an input module configured to detect a first key input by a user at a point on a layout of primary keys. The system includes a correction module configured to determine whether the first key input is associated with a single one of the primary keys or a plurality of the primary keys. The input module is configured to detect a second key input if the first key input is determined to be associated with the plurality of the primary keys. The second key input includes a swipe gesture by the user from the point at which the first key input is detected on the layout towards a particular one of the plurality of the primary keys. The system includes a selection module configured to register the first or second key input as an actual key input.
