摘要： There is provided an image display device which is capable of clearly displaying the use of each fixed format for forming an image and the image formed according to the fixed format on a small-sized display screen with small memory capacity. A display device is switched between a text display mode for displaying an image of a character string corresponding to text data on a display screen thereof and an image display mode for displaying an image corresponding to image data on the display screen. In the text display mode, a plurality of fixed formats are selectively displayed for use in creating object image data. The fixed formats each have predetermined entry items to which the text data is to be input. One of the fixed formats presented in the text display mode is selected and set to a designated format. The text data input to the predetermined entry items is stored as input text data. An image representative of part of whole of the object image data created based on the designated fixed format by using the input text data is displayed in the image display mode. If no text data has been input to any of the predetermined entry items of the designated format, there is displayed an image representative of part or whole of the object image data created by using dummy data for the text data to be input to the any of the predetermined entry items.

摘要： A video/graphics memory system includes a memory device (30) having a memory core (14) and first and serial registers (16, 36). The memory device thus has a random-access port (24) for graphics data, a first serial access port (22) for image output to a display, and an auxiliary or second serial port (32) for input and output of video signal data. A single memory thus stores both video and graphics data, while the processor still has access to the random access port of the memory. Two video outputs can be provided simultaneously, or the data withdrawn through the auxiliary port can be subject to processing and then written back into the memory. In alternative arrangements, instead of using triple-ported RAM, the auxiliary port is provided by the use of external multiplexing circuitry.

摘要： A Karaoke apparatus reproduces an instrumental accompaniment of a song requested by a singer during the course of a vocal performance of the song by the singer. A memory is provided for registering a composite text data of a song containing accompaniment information, word information and picture information in linked manner with each other. A sound system receives the accompaniment information for reproducing an instrument accompaniment of said song according to the accompaniment information. A display system receives the word information and the picture information for displaying a word of said song in the form of a sequence of characters according to the word information, and for displaying, in superposed relation to the word, an image associated to said song according to the picture information. A controller addresses the memory to sequentially distribute the accompaniment information, the word information and the picture information in synchronous manner with each other to those of the sound system and the display system so that the word and the image can be displayed in linked manner to progression of the sounded instrumental accompaniment.

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for displaying image and facsimile data on a host-based application display. A host computer generates control and download command data for displaying the image or facsimile data. The image and facsimile data is processed by a non-programmable-terminal (NPT) or a programmable work station (PWS) for presentation of a display screen. When a user requests another function, the NPT or PWS stores image information and sends image information to the host computer. The save image information includes cache image counter data, scaling and viewed image screen location data that is used to restore the displayed image and facsimile data when the user returns to the previous function.

A relationship of inclusion between these portions and a hierarchical relationship are extracted. Each of these portions is replaced by a figure having, for instance, a rectangular shape, and thereafter displayed on a display screen. When one block portion is included into another block portion, the rectangular figure corresponding to the one block portion is included within the rectangular figure corresponding to another block portion on the display screen. 摘要： The present invention provides a matrix type display device which simplifies the process in a display signal generating circuit while relieving the load on an external CPU, which arranges freely character and icon display areas while preventing the quality of display from being degraded by the shadow phenomenon and others. A display code memory stores character display codes and icon display codes for one image at a desired address arrangement. A pattern generating circuit transfers image patterns for the display codes to a display signal transferring circuit through a multiplexer. A decoder selecting device is responsive to a decoder select signal to select a decoder, thereby controlling voluntarily the timing of latch signal generation. Display signal input in the time division manner is latched in first and second latch circuits through the latch signal. Thereafter, the display signal is transferred to a signal electrode driving circuit through a line memory to display an image on a matrix panel.

摘要： Depending on whether the display mode specified by a CPU is the graphics mode or the text mode, the access mode of an image memory is switched. In the text mode, a random access is executed in a single read cycle with the timing synchronizing a video clock to alternate the reading of character codes and attributes with the reading of character fonts on a character basis. This makes shorter the time that the image memory is occupied for screen refreshing, thereby making so much longer the drawing time of the CPU. Furthermore, because an entire display controller functions as a video clock synchronizing circuit, the function of synchronizing the circuits is not necessary, which results in simplified control.
