In one embodiment, the protective and warming bonnet has a continuous base 14 in the form of a serving platter on which the braces 1,2 rest during use. A carrying handle 13 of round-steel or a tube is hooked to the hinges 5,6 on the braces 1,2. This carrying handle 13 rests in a notch or a slot at the hinge 5,6 so that it is no longer pivotable in relation to the base while under the pressure resulting from carrying such.

摘要： The instant invention is directed to a counter-top service bowl for chilling various foods and beverages. A miniaturized refrigeration system is secured to the outer surface of the bowl having an evaporator coil disposed within a coil chamber. Air is directed through the chamber and into the middle of the bowl cavity. At the bottom of the bowl is a series of holes lining the bottom of the bowl for induction back into the circulation chamber. In operation the bowl acts as a chiller wherein solid foods such as fruit is chilled by air circulation and associated contact along the surface of the bowl. A bowl liner insertable into the base bowl permits placement of non-solid foods such as fruit salads. The bowl liner seals the circulation chamber forcing air past an evaporator coil and outward through an exhaust port. The bowl liner can be removed for use as a conventional bowl and returned to maintain the chilled condition. A transparent cover allows for increased efficiency of the cooling system while various bowl inserts allow placement and chilling of peculiar beverage containers such as wine bottles.

摘要： The cone-shaped or dome-shaped sheet of waxed paper or freezer paper having a moisture retarding coating on at least the surface of the paper facing an underlying dish bearing food and positioned within a microwave oven, and being microwave transparent traps moisture condensing on the interior surface thereof for revaporization for return to the food being heated and/or cooked while preventing the dripping of condensed moisture directly onto the food within the underlying dish. Preferably the conical or dome-shaped cover is mechanically embossed to form vertically spaced annular concave cavities facing inwardly to trap the moisture running by gravity down the interior surface of the cover within the cavities for revaporization. Additionally, circumferentially spaced reinforcing ribs may be formed over the height of the cover to maintain the cover one or dome shaped configuration throughout the microwave oven heating process. An open mesh frame may be employed for supporting the cover overlying the dish bearing the food. Integral flaps cut out of the cover about three sides, with the exception of a horizontal hinge allow the flaps to open outwardly and curl upwardly under excessive moisture accumulation within the cover, and to close upon cooling of the cover at termination of the microwave oven operation. A unitary, folded under, reinforcing lip at the bottom of the conical or dome-shaped cover captures condensed moisture to facilitate revaporization and return of all moisture to the food being heated or cooked.
