摘要： A high temperature stable woven fiber fabric has uniform minimum gas permeability of less than 2.0 L/M/cm.sup.2 and is capable of withstanding at least 10,000 cycles in a Bally.TM. Flexometer test without failure. An untreated fabric is subjected to a sequential process which provides uniform permeability and greater flexibility and acid resistance to the treated fabric. The treated fabric is particularly useful in high temperature applications such as filter elements and furnace curtains.

摘要： In a fabric filter dust collector of the type including a plurality of elongated tubular fabric filter elements with an inlet for gas and entrained solids, an outlet for filtered gas and an outlet for separated solids wherein the gas and entrained solids enter the dust collector, the gas passes through the fabric filters to the outlet of the collector and particulate material is collected on the surface of the tubular filter elements. A sonic horn cleaning system including sound generators or horns are positioned in the dust collector which when sounded transmit energy to the filter elements to remove the filter cake from the tubular filter elements. A system is provided for determining whether the horns are operating and includes a tube connected to the vent of the horn which tube passes through the casing wall to a remote location where a sound detecting device can be utilized to pick up sound waves transmitted through the tube from an operating horn. The failure detection system can be used in other applications where several sonic generators are used in a confined space to determine which generators are operating.

摘要： A baghouse filter having a filter chamber separated by a partition between the clean gas side and the dirty gas side. The partition has a plurality of apertures, in each of which is mounted a filter unit for removal and replacement. The housing has an access opening to permit access to the interior of the housing and the opening is sufficiently large to permit withdrawal of the partition from the housing through the opening so as to permit replacement of the filter units exteriorly of the housing. In the present instance, the partition of the housing is mounted on a door closing the access opening, so that the displacement of the access door from the housing automatically displaces the partition from the housing to permit removal and replacement of the filter units. The filter unit assemblies permit mounting of the filter units from the dirty gas side of the partition with suitable sealing to prevent unfiltered gaseous medium from bypassing of the filter units.

摘要： The disclosure teaches a mobile dust collector which comprises a housing structure mounted on a trailer. The housing structure includes a filter chamber and a fan chamber. An opening in the side wall of the filter chamber communicates outside air with the filter chamber, and a plurality of filter bags disposed in the filter chamber make up the filter of the dust collector. A fan is disposed in the fan chamber, and the interior of the filter chamber is communicated with the fan. Wheels at the back of the trailer are adapted to rollingly support the trailer, and a removable support is disposed at the front end of the trailer for supporting the trailer when it is in a stationary condition. In operation, the housing structure stands in an upright position. Means are included for self erection of the housing structure.

摘要： A method and apparatus for use in an outside collection baghouse to identify defective filter bags. Each filter bag is equipped with a sensing head adjacent the open mouth of the bag. Each sensing head includes a pair of optical fibers having free ends disposed in the path of gas flowing out the bag mouth. Light is applied to one optical fiber in each pair and the amount of light reaching the other optical fiber is sensed to provide a measurement of the amount of light intercepted by particulate matter leaking through the bag.

The cap outer diameter is less than the inside diameter of the wire ring but exceeds the unstressed inside diameter of the expandable member.
