    • A system and method are disclosed for detecting road marking in a video using learned road marking templates. The system comprises a template learning module configured to learn the feature-based road marking templates from a set of training images. The template learning module is configured to rectify each training image, detect multiple regions of interest, and for each detected region of interest, detect multiple key points. The template learning module extracts feature vectors for the detected key points and builds the road marking templates from the feature vectors. The system also includes a road marking detection module for detecting road markings in a video at runtime using the learned road marking templates. During runtime, these templates are matched using a two-step process of first selecting promising feature matches and subsequently performing a structural matching to account for the shape of the road markings.

    • A system and method for traffic prediction based on space-time relation are disclosed. The system comprises a section spatial influence determining section for determining, for each of a plurality of sections to be predicted, spatial influences on the section by its neighboring sections; a traffic prediction model establishment section for establishing, for each of the plurality of sections to be predicted, a traffic prediction model by using the determined spatial influences and historical traffic data of the plurality of sections; and a traffic prediction section for predicting traffic of each of the plurality of sections to be predicted for a future time period by using real-time traffic data and the traffic prediction model. An apparatus and method for determining spatial influences among sections, as well as an apparatus and method for traffic prediction, are also disclosed. With the present invention, a spatial influence of a section can be used as a spatial operator and a time sequence model can be incorporated, such that the influences on a current section by its neighboring section for a plurality of spatial orders can be taken into account. In this way, the traffic condition in a spatial scope can be measured more practically, so as to improve accuracy of prediction.

    • A system and method is proposed for adapting the spatial transmission strategy in a cellular MIMO (multiple input multiple output) communication system for the downlink. Spatial mode adaptation, the choice of multiplexing, transmit diversity, number of streams, space-time code family, and the like are performed slowly based on side information from other base stations. Base stations exchange their transmission plans with neighboring base stations and broadcast this information to active users. Each user measures its susceptibility to spatial interference and returns this information to the base station. The base station then schedules active users according to the decisions made in interfering base stations and the preferred transmission strategies of its own users.

    • A method, an apparatus and a system for eliminating aliasing noise in a multi-carrier modulation system are disclosed. The method includes: acquiring a first power spectrum density template; acquiring information of in-band subcarriers whose aliasing noise is greater than background noise, and acquiring a difference between the aliasing noise and the background noise of the in-band subcarriers; adjusting the first power spectrum density template according to the information of the in-band subcarriers and the corresponding difference to obtain a second power spectrum density template; and sending signals according to the second power spectrum density template. The method, the apparatus, and the system disclosed herein eliminate the aliasing crosstalk noise, improve the performance and stability of in-band services without involving upgrade or modification of the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), and are easy to implement.
