摘要： A flush valve device 20 of a flush toilet includes a flush valve body 22 connected to a city water source and an operation unit 50. The operation unit 50 has an operation button 63 and a flexible inner cable 71, which is part of a cable mechanism 70. The inner cable 71 is extended from a rear side to a lateral side of a toilet body 12 and is linked with the operation button 63. In response to a press of the operation button 63, the flush valve body 22 opens to make a supply of washing water flown into the toilet body 12. This arrangement desirably increases the degree of freedom in positioning of the flush valve body and the operation unit, enhances the operability of the flush valve device 20, and effectively facilitates installation of the flush valve device 20.

The second valve mechanism controls the rate of flow by reducing the pressure for delivery to the inflatable escape slide. A safety valve operates in conjunction with the first valve mechanism and upon breaking of the valve mechanisms from the pressurized container to prevent the contents of the pressurized container from rapid escape or uncontrolled release.

摘要： A remote valve control device is provided, comprising first and second perpendicularly oriented shafts connected by a linkage comprising either a universal joint or a pair of bevel gears. The linkage converts rotational movement of the first shaft about a first axis to rotational movement of the second shaft about a second axis. A valve attachment, connected to the end of the second shaft opposite the linkage, converts rotational movement of the second shaft about the second axis to rotational movement about a third axis of rotation generally parallel to the second axis, so that rotation of the first shaft about the first axis of rotation rotates the valve attachment about the third axis of rotation to open and close the valve. A handle attached to the end of the first shaft opposite the linkage provides means to manually control the operation of the remote valve control device. The device, which is generally L-shaped, may be mounted alongside both of a pair of perpendicular walls, thereby providing easily accessible remote control of the valve which might otherwise be inaccessible.

Since many modern rims include relatively deep radiallyinwardly extending fairings which encompass air valves of conventional length, in accordance with the invention, an air valve adapter is received through an inwardly facing hole in the rim and attaches to the original valve stem. The adapter can be operated to selectively open or lock the unmodified valve. A nozzle from a pump can, in turn, be connected to the adapter to inflate the inner tube.
