    • A system and method provide system monitoring and detailed troubleshooting workflow guidance. Individual system components may be monitored and faulty system components identified. Subsequently, component-related, context-related, and/or user-specific troubleshooting workflow guidance associated with the faulty system component identified may be retrieved and/or determined by a processor and presented. The component-related guidance may be based upon which system component is faulty. The context-related guidance may be based upon the type of error with the faulty system component. The user-specific guidance may be based upon information specific to the user, such as user specifications, preferences, and configurations. The troubleshooting guidance may provide virtual guidance related to the workflow steps to be performed to identify the error with the faulty component and then correct the error identified. Accordingly, consistent, reproducible, and efficient troubleshooting may be performed using the troubleshooting workflow guidance presented. In one embodiment, the system monitored is a medical imaging system.

    • A hard disk drive includes an interface, a data process system, a memory unit, a microprocessor, and an indicator module. The interface is connected to a computer for data transmission. The data process system is connected between the interface and the memory unit for reading data to or writing data from the memory unit. The microprocessor is connected with the interface for determining the status of the hard disk drive and controls the operation modes of the indicator module for illustrating whether the hard disk drive is exchanging data with the computer or whether the hard disk drive is in a fault condition.

    • A storage system and a path management method, which can facilitate node replacement, are proposed. In the storage system, the host sets plural paths between the host and the volume and holds path information composed of management information on each of the paths. The management apparatus includes an integrated path management unit that collects the path information on each of the paths defined between the host and the volume from the corresponding host to manage all the collected information as integrated path information; retrieves an alternate path going through a node other than a specified node but that has the same function as the specified node, for the path going through the specified node, based on the integrated path information; and displays results of the retrieval.
