    • This application relates to a method of controlling a measurement window and the method includes (a) measuring measurement targets according to measurement cycles for a plurality of measurement windows, (b) displaying measurement values for the plurality of the measurement targets on a measurement target sub window of each of the plurality of the measurement windows in a time-series order, (c) detecting a temporal position of an event to provide the event when the event occurs at one of the plurality of the measurement windows, (d) detecting the temporal position for each of at least one of other measurement windows and (e) providing the event at a corresponding temporal position for each of the at least one of other measurement window. Therefore, the method may simultaneously display a system measurement value generated at a specific time on a plurality of windows.

    • A position display device providing a digital displacement signal is disclosed. The position display device includes an analogical signal input port electrically connected to a position probe of a magnetic scale, a position display module, a display unit, an analog/digital conversion module, and a digital signal output port. The position display device converts the received analogical displacement signal into a readout visually readable to an operator and displaying the readout through a display unit. The position display device also converts the analogical displacement signal into the digital displacement signal and outputs the digital displacement signal for an external motor controller to use.

    • A meter driving apparatus is provided in which the display luminance of a plurality of placed meters can be adjusted in synchronization to enhance the appearance of the whole additional meter system. The driving apparatus is for a plurality of meters 2 and 3. The meters include the first meter (digital meter) 2 including an optical sensor 2d for detecting the surrounding brightness and having an auto-light-adjustment function of obtaining light-adjustment data for adjusting the display luminance of the meter 2 in accordance with the detection result of the optical sensor 2d and the second meter (analog data) 3 having no optical sensor. The driving apparatus has a control unit 1 which transmits the light-adjustment data obtained by the first meter 2 to the second meter. The second meter 3 adjusts the display luminance thereof based on the light-adjustment data received from the control unit 1.

    • A gauge or dial has multiple displays for indicating various vehicle operating conditions. Pointers indicate a range of measured values on some of the displays. A fixed hub covers ends of the pointers where they connect with their drive shafts and extend through the dial. The hub has a display screen with a graphic or symbol imprinted on it. A conduit directly under the hub on an opposite side of the dial extends to a printed circuit board. A light emitting diode is mounted on the printed circuit board within the conduit. Light from the diode is reflected through the conduit to backlight the symbol on the display screen. Switching on and off of the diode is controlled in response to sensing or measurement of a vehicle condition or vehicle component operation, such as a turn signal.
