    • A nozzle is used in a hand held dispenser of viscous fluid including caulking, sealant or adhesive. The nozzle has an elongated body that extends along a longitudinal axis, defining a fluid path extending between a dispensing end and a base. The base includes a coupling to secure the nozzle to a dispensing device or to a container of the viscous fluid. The nozzle includes a variable flow valve that operates through a range of positions, between a fully closed position and a fully open position. The valve operates within a housing that extends across the longitudinal axis of the body. A second coupling connects the valve to a hand control on the dispenser. Preferably, the valve rotates between the closed and open positions. The nozzle is also included in a dispensing gun. The dispensing gun includes a hand activated control on the gun handle. The control operates the valve between the closed and open positions and co-acts to urge the fluid contents of the dispensing gun to flow through the nozzle. A kit for a nozzle assembly in a hand held dispenser includes the nozzle and a replaceable nozzle tip. The kit may also include one or more interchangeable nozzle tips, a replaceable end cap, and a cleaning tool for the nozzle.

As a result of this configuration of the discharge ram (11), it can be produced in the form of a one-piece component from plastics in an injection-moulding process.

    • A dispenser for dispensing two components is disclosed which comprises a drum 10 in which a tube 20 is supported. A first piston 12 is arranged within the drum 10 and has an opening 22 through which the tube 20 extends. The opening is provided with a plug 80 which has an aperture also through which the tube 20 extends. The plug supports a blade 32 which bears on a second piston 40 arranged within the tube 22. The plug 80 is fixed relative to the piston 12 so that it and the blade 32 move with the piston 12. During movement of the piston 12 the blade 32 slices the tube 20 and bears against the second piston 40 so that the first piston 12 and the second piston 40 move in a fixed manner as a single unit. During movement of the pistons 12 and 40 the two components are dispensed from the drum 10 and the tube 22 in a particular ratio depended upon the volume displaced by movement of the pistons 12 and 40. The dispensed components can therefore be mixed together in the predetermined ratios.

    • A dispenser for simultaneously dispensing and mixing a pair of fluid products such as chemically reactive resins, from a pair of axial adjacent front and rear chambers. A piston is mounted within each of the chambers and is moveable with respect to the hollow interior of the respective chamber for dispensing the fluid product therefrom. Telescopic movement of the rear chamber within the front chamber moves the pistons synchronously through the chambers to provide for controlled discharge of the products through a front discharge nozzle. A fixed hollow delivery tube extends through the interior of the front chamber and telescopically receives therein a post which is mounted on a rear wall of the rear chamber. The rear chamber has a relatively tight sliding fit within the front chamber so that a partial vacuum is formed within an annular space which forms between the two pistons as they move apart upon discharge of the two products to produce a "suck back" effect on product remaining in the discharge nozzle.

    • A dispensing device comprises a cartridge unit with at least two chambers containing liquid or pasty substances and pistons therein being connected with each other by at least one blade adapted for cutting through a dividing wall, between two chambers and separating their contents, only one piston assembly being required which can be operated with a propellant under excess pressure preferably not exceeding 6 bars. As no piston rod is required the construction of the device is very compact. In a first step for actuating the pistons, the cartridge unit is moved forward toward an exit end of the device bearing a discharge nozzle whereby valves in the device are opened and contents from the cartridge unit are conveyed to the discharge nozzle. After each discharge a restoring element returns the cartridge unit to a rearward end position whereby the valves are closed and no contents can leak from the cartridge.
