    • A synthetic plastic wall tie of variable lengths for use with concrete forms. The tie has a pair of T-shaped end sections at its opposite ends. Each of the T-shaped end sections including a stem having a sufficient thickness for receiving an end of a screw in threaded engagement therewith. The T-shaped end sections have parallel cross pieces at opposite ends of the tie. An intermediate wall tie section connects the T-shaped end sections together. The intermediate wall tie section has a pair of round flange-like water-stops extending radially outwardly out of the intermediate wall tie section and are joined therewith in integral one-piece assembly therewith. The water-stops serve to inhibit water flow axially of the wall tie and through a concrete wall structure where the tie is embedded. The round flange-like water-stops further serve to provide means for locating reinforcing rods extending at right angles to the wall ties when the wall ties are mounted in a concrete form.

    • A modular synthetic plastic concrete form structure for forming a concrete wall or free form or an enclosure having a curved corner. One form of the structure includes a pair of modular concrete impervious foamed forming panels each comprised of a series of modular foamed concrete forming sections stacked on top of one another and also disposed in end-to-end relation. The structure further includes a foamed curved corner form structure comprised of a series of arcuately curved corner sections stacked on top of one another providing a radially outer continuous curved corner area for forming a curved concrete corner. The sections each have means on upper and lower edges and at opposite vertical edges of interlocking the section in stacked end-to-end engagement with one another. The panels are positioned in spaced opposed relation. Ties connect the panels in transversely spaced relation and with the panels and the ties being permanently attached with the concrete poured between the panels as a reinforcing and heat insulator.

    • According to one embodiment of the improved process of this invention, dicobalt octacarbonyl is produced in an olefinic medium by contacting an aqueous solution of a tetracarbonylcobaltate metal salt with an oxygen-containing gas in the presence of an olefinic extractant for dicobalt octacarbonyl to oxidize the tetracarbonylcobaltate anion to dicobalt octacarbonyl which is efficiently extracted into the olefinic phase, thereby producing an organic phase which can then be recovered and passed to a cobalt-catalyzed olefin hydroformylation reaction zone as source of at least a portion of the catalyst and olefin required in the olefin hydroformylation reaction to form the corresponding aldehydes. According to another aspect of this invention, an aqueous solution of tetracarbonylcobaltate metal salt is contacted with an oxygen-containing gas in the presence of gaseous carbon monoxide, and optionally also in the presence of an organic solvent for the dicobalt octacarbonyl, to efficiently oxidize the tetracarbonylcobaltate anion to dicobalt octacarbonyl.
