In one embodiment, a method of cementing includes providing a cement composition comprising a carboxylated inulin, for example, in a subterranean formation. The method further includes allowing the cement composition to set. In some embodiments, the cement composition has a thickening time of from about 2 hours to about 11 hours. In other embodiments, the cement composition has a viscosity that is about constant for a period of time after the cement composition is placed.

In one embodiment, a method of servicing a well bore includes providing a hydrophobic well bore servicing composition comprising a liquid hardenable resin, a hardening agent, and a weighting material selected to impart a desired first density to the well bore servicing composition; introducing the well bore servicing composition into a well bore comprising a well bore fluid having a second density; allowing the well bore servicing composition to migrate through the well bore fluid to a desired location in the well bore based at least in part upon a difference between the first and second densities; and allowing the liquid hardenable resin to at least partially harden to form a well bore plug at the desired location in the well bore.

摘要： A test method for foamed cement does not transfer the test composition under pressure from one device to another and the equipment is not handled under dangerous pressure, thereby providing a safe test method. Steps include: rotating a paddle at a first speed in a pressurized foamable cement composition in a receptacle in a high pressure, high temperature chamber such that the foamable cement composition becomes a foamed cement; rotating the paddle at a second speed in the pressurized foamed cement for a selected time period; maintaining the foamed cement static after the selected time period and increasing temperature in the chamber during a foamed cement setting period; thereafter reducing temperature in the chamber and reducing pressure in the chamber; removing the foamed cement in a set condition and the paddle from the chamber; removing the set foamed cement from the paddle; and testing the removed foamed cement.
